Damn looks like I am going to wait for a while…I was told 2 weeks only and its been over 3 weeks now. Kid Kaos you ordered before me as well…so I hope Im not getting scammed…
Hey Tactics, as far as I know you’re not getting scammed. I myself have been waiting since Feb. 16 but NiteWalker has responded to each of my requests about updates and he has apologized about all delays (one major cause in my delay was because of a shaping mishap).
Shoot him a PM and ask him about the status of your case.

Don’t say that He’s not a scammer. He’s just very busy tho. He’s very fast comparing to other modders that take 3 to 6 months to make a Arcade Stick Shell/Case. I was very happy with the final product that I just ordered another arcade stick from him 2 days ago and I will order more.It’s worth the wait tho :tup:
I would definitely not worry about getting scammed with NiteWalker. I know hes been getting a ton of orders so getting the case might take a little longer than usual. Just shoot him an email.
This far he has been very nice and giving me updates. I too would not call him a scammer…however its very difficult to wait patiently.
I’ve been waiting about the same as symonds85. To echo EricThe Intern, NiteWalker has answered all my PMs quickly and apologized for delays. I’m sure this isn’t a full-time thing for him and other stuff can get in the way which is understandable.
Thanks guys for making it all better, I have been scammed many times on SRK so I am very insecure about it. Sorry didn’t mean to sound like a dick or anything cause Nitewalker has been very accommodating. My only grudge is that I was told 2 weeks when in fact it is going to take longer, i gave my other stick away cause I thought id get my case in 2 weeks so now that SFxT came out im having to play it on a pad which im terrible on till I get my new case…the wait is painful but should definitely be worth it.
I dropped a Hori JLF clone I had lying around into a Brawlstick to hold me over until the new case comes in. I’m tired of The Rock’s and HHH’s looks of disapproval whenever I drop a combo.

Woah, I’m definitely not a scammer!
I really just miscalculated the timing on my cases. I’m getting them done as quick as possible while staying safe.
Another thing that slowed me down a bit was that I had a few orders that were different from my typical design.
Here’s a few of the cases I just finished up:

A lot goes into designing and building my cases; it’s more than just the woodworking; for non standard cases I have to do a draft with corel draw to make sure the layout fits and doesn’t interfere with rear panel, and I usually make an art template to go with them. Sometimes I get delayed by an order of hardware or lumber too.
So it’s my fault for incorrectly estimating my timeline to get a case finished. up. A lot of the time they go pretty quick.
Symonds, your first case just came back to me as undeliverable? Can you resend your address? Also I’m still getting your other free case done, and that will ship monday morning as well.

I still appreciate the feedback though. EIther I need to readjust my timing estimates or work an extra hour or two each day in the shop.

Yea the thing a lot of people don’t realize is how much work Nite puts into his cases. These aren’t the quick and cheap DYI MDF cases of the past. These are custom made high quality cases at a fraction of the price that you see most other stick builders. A lot of people don’t remember guys like Steve Tren and Ecksnine who made only one style of case and the only options you really got were button layout and wood type. And those guys would charge twice as much as Nite does for his cases that he custom fits to each of his customers desires. A lot of us have been ordered different sized and different style cases which I’m sure Nite has never tried to build. Yet he takes on the task of designing and building the sticks to whatever we like without making a fuss or charging a really big fee for all the extra work he does in designing the cases and making the cases perfectly. A lot of work goes into these sticks to make sure that there are no rough edges and the case and the plexiglass are cut precisely so that they fit perfectly together. Brass threaded inserts on the bottom so that you never have to worry about stripping or splitting the holes for keep the bottom on your stick. Precision recessed cuts on the front and sides for you menu buttons. And he is the only person I’ve seen that makes a recessed universal pass through hole that can not only hold a Neutrik usb pass through but all makes it so that you can use the Neutrik rj-45 pass though which was pretty much impossible for wooden arcade sticks before.
Nitewalker is not a scammer. He is an excellent case designer and builder who has a life outside of doing this. If he has a fault it would be merely that he misjudged the amount of time that this quality of work consumes. And instead of skipping steps and cutting corners and quickly shipping out a subpar product to keep on schedule. He knuckles down and irons out all the flaws and produces a truly unique and outstanding product, all the while apologizing for not being on time.
We buy the cases for a ridiculously cheap price and sure we like them and can’t wait to get them. But I don’t think we truly appreciate all the work that goes into these cases and hell most of us probably wouldn’t even notice if he had cut corners to fill orders on time.
I haven’t even held my case in my hands yet but I can tell how infinitely better the quality is than the QCF MDF case that I have now is.
Hang in there, sit tight, prepare to be amazed, and know this; next time you order case from Nite, and trust me you will, you won’t have to wait as long and the next one will be even better than the last. :tup:
