Is there a reason $130 shipped is too much? Take out the shipping and you’d be getting a Sanwa/Happ stick on a 1st party DS pcb for $115.
If there is a reason you think it’s too high, then please tell so I can consider my options. Considering the price other customs go for, this is on the low end for the same parts.
The original remark was that it costs too much, which has nothing to do with whether or not you’re rich or if you like hybrids - now, all I want are any valid reasons as to why it might cost too much. Reading comprehension, people!
i’m just trying to let you know WHY people aren’t buying your sticks… few people use hybrids so you are not likely to find a huge market. People aren’t going to want to put 130 down to experiment with a hybrid, they want something as close to the arcade as possible;most players just use sticks to practice for when they play on the real thing. Maybe if you weren’t so sensitive you’d see that this is relevant. At least take that into consideration. if you play fighting games more maybe you’d know what works for people…and your rudeness doesn’t help either.
I actually bought one of your sticks, and was just trying to help. But now I could care less. Good luck.
Sensitive or rude, hardly. I’m not taking anything personally at all, so no need to worry about that. I never asked why people are or are not buying my sticks, or this stick. All I asked was why the previous poster thinks it is too expensive - if my correcting your mistake in what the “problem” here is rude, then I think the only sensitive person is you.
By the way, how is using a hybrid experimental in any way? We’re not talking about a huge difference (or even much of a small one) in how the two companies’ controls work or feel, and most people have already played a game in an arcade that uses Happ buttons. User preference is exactly that, preference - could it possibly have occurred to you that there are people who might prefer Happ buttons over Sanwa buttons, while still enjoying the way a Sanwa joystick plays?
I suggest you chill and actually read what is being said without feeling the need to answer questions that weren’t asked, especially if you’re going to insinuate that I am somehow being rude or overly sensitive.
Let’s stay civil and keep the thread on topic, which is the stick for sale. Thanks.
ok whatever you say man…
You were wondering why people don’t want to pay 130 dollars for your sticks and I gave you my opinion. You’re delusional if you think it only has to do with the build quality. Do you even play fighting games? Buttons can make all the difference in execution. Yes I do know that there ARE people who like hybrids, but there are few. You ever wonder why custom stick builders rarely build hybrid? Supply and demand, and the fighters market wants SAnwa over any other stick right now. YOu would see that simply by observing the sales that go on here. BTW, for future reference, seimitsu sticks/buttons are for shooters not fighters. NExt time you sell a seimitsu stick try shmups.system11.org. You would have better luck there, instead of waiting for someone looking to experiment. There are quite a few people who do like seimitsu/sanwa though.
Have you seen finkle’s thread? He’s possibly the most succesful builder here on the forums, maybe you should take a look at how he does business.
Telling me I don’t know how to read is rude. Don’t worry, I’m stating my point for the last time, do whatever suits you.
Actually avjgtfusion, I didn’t ask “why people don’t want to pay 130 dollars for [my] sticks,” I asked a particular poster (sidewinder) for his opinion regarding why this joystick is not worth $115 before shipping according to him. “Why people don’t want to pay” and why the original poster doesn’t think the price is low enough do not mean the same thing; if you had any idea what reading comprehension is, you’d understand what I’ve been saying all along.
For one thing, why are you trying to argue to me things like whether or not people like/want hybrids, the concept of supply and demand, seimitsu controls, and even the prosperity of Finkle’s business? Nobody asked for your opinion regarding any of those things and they certainly have nothing to do with my question to Sidewinder. Your opinions are as valid as the next person’s, but this is neither the place nor the time for your current argument. It certainly doesn’t matter to me what you believe is the right way of doing things.
