FS: Jasen's Customs - Panzer Fight Stick - Custom Metal Fight Stick Enclosures

What the hell is dat ting? (Voice of Uncle Stinky from The Ghostly Trio in Casper)

This is a custom case I built for a fellow gamer that has a disability in his hands. He is unable to use standard layouts and press buttons on the side of the case. When he plays he uses his knuckles and a special keyboard interface that can take 20 inputs, hence the buttons. His goal is to use it with a lot of different games, hence the number of buttons.

Just an example of the work I can setup for everyone’s specific needs, tastes, and desires!

Oh wow. That’s really cool. Thanks for clarifying.

No problems. I have another custom case that I expect to get the end of this week. This one is very creative and going to be a very interesting build for this customer. If you think your Fight Stick has power… wait till you get a load of this one!

Also, added Carbon Fiber PFS wraps to the shop tonight. They are pretty slick!

Jasen’s Customs

Actually, SRK’s own d3v was the one who actually drafted it in photoshop, I just told him what I wanted.

Finally finished everything tonight. Thanks to Jason and D3V; both were great to deal with, and the case is great. Solid, simple, has ps360+ and Neutrik mounts, and weighs a ton.

Also for anyone curious, the vinyl wrap was really easy to apply. It took me less than ten minutes and I have no experience with that stuff. Looking forward to building a few more in the future. I’ll definitely be recommending these to locals looking for a stick.

That. Looks. Sick.

Stealing the image and posting it up on Facebook

Did you trim the black parts away and only use the Orange part? Or did you wrap the entire top with it? It’s tough to tell with the image.

Hey Jansen do you have any idea when the wide bodies would be ready for sale? Do you have a price point in mind for those beauties yet? I’ve been wanting to pick up a panzer for a long time and was just about to place my order in when I saw your new wide body case. Done with all the christmas shopping and surprisingly I’m not broke.

On a side note… I could have sworn your cases were called tank something…

I have been keeping folks up to date on the WB on Facebook so I don’t spam my thread too much with updates. They will be $149.95 plus shipping.

Right now, I’m waiting on the plexiglass tops to verify my math was right. I was hoping to have them up and available on Christmas Day, but I think they will be up around the new year.

They were “TankSticks” until someone threatened legal action for a trademark they didn’t apply for. In the interest of saving energy, I changed the name. This is a fun project and side business for me. Getting lawyers involved would instantly remove the fun of it

Thanks!

I trimmed it down to just the top panel with one of those paper shears at a Kinko’s. The way it came together is the way I’d originally planned to do it but I figured it would be easier for me to cut away a few inches of vinyl than to ask you to print on a different size than you’re set up for, and if the rest of the wrap had just been black it may or may not have matched the black on the unwrapped areas.

Yeah, I was wondering about the name change! I would be pretty pissed if some clown came down on me for some tiny project with such a simple name, but I think in the end I would let it go like you did. Do you know what sort of product he had? I’m envisioning something for fish tanks?

No it was the X-Arcade guys… you know the guys who make the wooden boxes with all the low cost HAPP parts. They are for the Mame crowd, generally get mixed reviews.

Wow, my already low impression of them is now officially in the toilet!

Latest Panzer Fight Stick Wide Body Update:

First three arrived and they are great. Well, one isn’t so great, the Noir Layout was cut incorrectly and reversed. Not a big deal since it’s a demo that is going to get replaced by the shop. I am going to add mounts for the Kaimana LED driver next to the PS360+ mounts. Naturally, the Kaimana will be 100% optional, but I think it’s going to add a bit of flare to the potentials of the case.

Leveraging my in house vinyl printing and cutting capabilities that many have taken advantage of, I will have Vinyl Print/Cut services available for the Wide Body top as well as Custom Carbon Fiber overlays to add on top.

Final thing that needs to be hammered out is the plexi overlays. I haven’t quite gotten them squared away. Hopefully we can work this out soon, as I really want to build one of these out and start using it!

Kaimana mount a sign of things to come??

I saw last months Fight Stick winner who was using the Kaimana to drive his LEDs and liked the way it looked. I figured making my sticks fit as many parts standard as possible would be the key to success. Plus, I kind of want to give it a whirl myself.

I have lot of ideas rolling around in my head and I am sure opportunities for partnerships and working together with other members, businesses, etc. are going to come and go. I have learned a lot in the past six months from a lot of different people and will continue to do so. Anything I can to better myself and my hobby/business as well as the various communities I participate in is a win!

Good shit Jasen. I really appreciate how down to Earth and humble you are. The community needs more like you, sir.
