I am proud to announce that Frosty Faustings is back again for it’s 7th run. Stay tuned for more details regarding venue, game line-up, schedule and more!

We are proud to announce that Frosty Faustings VII will be taking place (as previously announced) on Friday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 24th, 2015!

This year, we will be expanding and going above and beyond the previous six years. We hope to see you all at our new venue!

Assuming Guilty Gear -XRD will be out (Which it should be), I am making the assumption it would be on the lineup? I may actually go this time, I have been wanting to go to one of these.

Of course. Xrd will be the main event. We will probably have a +R tourney too.

Due to APEX and Ohayocon being announced for January 31st, we decided to push FFVII to be one week earlier and will now be on January 24th. We don’t want to conflict with other events so that all events can have as high of an attendance as possible. I hope this hasn’t caused any inconvenience for anyone.

You are welcome to set up some DoA in the casuals area with your own setup.

All official tournament games at Frosty Faustings VII will use the same basic pot structure for payout.  Each tournament requires $10 to enter from each player.  The entry fee money is all pooled together into what is known as the prize pot. The standard payout is as follows:

1st place:  70% of total prize pot

2nd place: 20% of total prize pot

3rd place:  10% of total prize pot

Some tournaments are having a guaranteed prize pot minimum.  What does this mean?  No matter how many players enter a tournament with a guaranteed minimum, that amount will be paid out to the winners even in the case that entry fee money is not sufficient to cover that amount.  In the case that the prize pot exceeds the minimum guaranteed amount, the prize pot will grow proportionally beyond the minimum guarantee every time an additional person enters.

In addition to the prize pot, some games will offer pot bonuses!  Pot bonuses are set amounts of money in addition to the prize pot and do not follow the same rules structure.

These bonuses are specified as follows:

Guilty Gear Xrd singles 1st place Champions bonus: $1,700 provided by @FrostyFaustings

Guilty Gear Xrd singles 2nd place bonus: $200 provided by @FrostyFaustings

Guilty Gear Xrd singles 3rd place bonus: $100 provided by @FrostyFaustings
