True but like he said it’ll be real last minute so the turnout won’t be too high but I’d still be down for a tourny regardless of how many ppl show up
I’m sorry to say this everyone but I won’t be running FF this year. It’s just already too close to the tournament date and I don’t really see the turnout being worth it at this point. I really wanted to run it but the venue problem just made things too difficult this year. My flight also leaves the next morning at 7 am so it would be pretty hectic for me honestly. I’m really sorry to all of those who are disappointed by this. If someone else still wants to organize a tournament I will do my best to come support it.

considering I didnt make an announcement about it actually happening I wouldnt think anyone bought airfare. I mean, if you guys still want to try to run a tournament I will be more than happy to support you but theres nothing I can really do from here myself. if someone finds a venue and books it I will do everything else I can to support the event
ALRIGHT… so I know I just said I was thinking of canceling the event, but it seems like A LOT of Guilty Gear players were really looking forward to having this. SO… I emailed the guys at Galloping Ghost Arcade and am going to try to work something out. Now, if we can work something out (which hopefully I will know within a couple days), the event will go down, but its going to have to be slightly scaled back from previous years. Basically, were going to pretty much be running about 2-3 games and that should be about it. Guilty Gear AC is going to be the main event for sure and I am willing to run about 2 more games. I will still run team tournaments for those games as well. I know everyone wants to have all kinds of games going on but this venue isnt quite as big and we have to make due. So, if you guys are still interested in coming to the event I will do my best to run it again.
Ill keep you all posted as new info comes.

Any idea on what hotel we would be reccommeded to stay at if this gets off the ground?
There’s a good number of hotels in the area about 10 minutes from the arcade. The problem with the arcade though, is there will be almost no parking. Parking I would say is the largest problem with the tournament.
I got a reply from GGA and they seem like they are still willing to have the event. The staff wants me to call them so Ill do my best to find a time to do so but the time zone difference makes it quite difficult. I just need to iron out a few details but I should have everything finalized by the end of the week.
Dont worry they are going to arrange nearby parking.
