Friday Night Sessions in College Park

Playing AE and Virtual Cop… Today at the Student Union.

Congrats To Nick for winning Marvel 3. I’m glad to see T-Hawk winning in AE lol.:clapdos:

We had about 10 people for Marvel and 8 for AE last weekend… not bad.

If I knew they were giving out “Pro gaming head sets” for X-box and Ps3 i would have tried harder.:wow:

Sagat vs Fei and Grief vs Elf are bad match up for me… I guess i gotta start playing Ken and Chun again… Asking for blind picks…:amazed:

2 tournament going on the same day… May 19. I might hit up dave and busters…

Good Games to LHI… no disrespect but I dont have a wip to head out there.

If i get a ride i will go to Crashes Tournament though.:coffee:

I’ll swing by tonight. Need some practice on AE. Is it in the same place? BTW long time no see bra. Hit me up sometime (240) 278-6141. Name is Derrick

That’s what i’m trying to find out as well. If I know anything ill hit you up.

Aww man, if I woulda known I would came up there. Defence and I were at my place playing AE and Marvel. I would love to see that Guile again Ogofdaforce. I think I got a better since last time. We need better communication if we really want set up stuff consistently.

Is this still going on or is it dead?

I forget if I’ve posted here or not, but I’ll be moving to college park to start grad school in August, so I’ll be around the area for the next half-decade or so. I play pretty much everything but at the moment I’m only taking the big two and skullgirls seriously.

Terp is closed for now I believe. But we have random sessions at my place and others. There is one tomorrow in Cap Heights if your interested.

Hey what’s up saq? I was wondering if I could get those address locations for these “random” sessions you guys have lol. I frequent the terp zone a lot when I can, and now that it’s basically closed for the summer my friends and I are looking for new places to get some games.

The easiest thing to do is to join the DMV fighting game community thread on FB or friend me. My name is Hassan Dandridge. My place is pretty small, so I can’t have a huge thing, but smaller sessions are always welcomed. Terp Zone will reopen in a few weeks I believe, so the time will come again when we can all meet up there. What games do you play?

Hassan important abt to hit u on FB. i need an invite to that DMV group

OK fellas and ladies(hopefully lol), the season is about to start. Starting on October 5th, the “CP Collision” will be taking place. On Fridays, we will have a night dedicated to AE, KOF13 and 3SO. On Saturday, UMVC3 and P4A will be played. This means we will have a a night full of matches where players can get better, talk shit, try new things, and just have fun. I will also try to organize a monthly, winner take all tournament. Quick and dirty, no bullshit. But more will come about that later.

I don’t own any of the equipment or facility, so understand that we share space with the students that are there. So, if you live within the beltway and want to get to know other people in the area, hit me up or come out to the sessions. If you have any questions, get at me. Hope to see yall there.

This going down tomorrow? I can bring a screen and a setup.

Nah, not tomorrow. We will start once everyone has had a chance to get accustom to the school/work schedule. What kinda of screen do you have? If you wanna stop by my place and get some matches in, that’s also doable.

Just a small LCD screen. I’ve taken it to a bunch of tournaments and nobody’s ever complained about it lagging and it feels fine to me, which is good cause joe kim was telling me about laggy TVs at the stamp. Where do you live and what games do you play? I’m pretty much always down.

When is this going to start up? I am a commuter student from Southern MD so it’s a little drive, but if I can play Marvel and learn/get better I shall look to attend.

Yeah, I feel you on that. I’m in Hyattsville near the train station. I stay about a 10 minute walk from West Hyattsville metro. I play Marvel, AE, KoF, 3S0, VF5, Naruto(lol), and P4A. I’m not good at any of them imo, but that’s me.

It will start on Oct. 5th at around 8. Like I said, we, meaning my friends, have been meeting up there for some time now. But I want to make the meet ups more organized and beneficial for everyone. So if your local, tell a friend, bring a friend so we can get the most out of our time, energy, and money spent doing what we like to do.

I don’t attend College Park, but I know people who do, though they don’t play fighting games competitively as far as I know. I’m glad to find a thread that concerns the MD area.

Yeah, that’s the idea. I don’t drive, so I can’t go out to Waldorf or Bmore when I want matches. The stamp has separate tournaments also, so it’s not just fighting games that happen there. IN fact, they are having a Madden tournament next weekend I think. But yeah bruh, come through so we can make the PG community a little less fractured.

I don’t drive either, but actually Baltimore’s closer to me than College Park. However, I really don’t want to head out there, despite the distance. I play Tekken, so most of the meetings are either in Baltimore or VA.
