GGs to Ric0, Zaku, Haibing and Manoel! We had some good matches this evening despite the subdued session and we didn’t run out of pizza for once! I now have a minute understanding of Wesker and think he is fun, so is Shuma. I think that this game really has a ton of playable viable characters. Still not exactly feeling Jill despite the fact that the dog passes through her and that Manoel had some beastly moves with the mind controlled wench.

On another note, what I’ve been hearing is that today there’s supposed to be a super moon, the moon is the closest it’s been in 18 years, making the moon appear to be 14% larger than normal! there are a lot of rumors spreading around the net that this could trigger an earthquake somehow, but NASA says that supermoons don’t cause natural disasters. If the sky clears up later tonight then it’s a good opportunity to check it out :o

More game complaints:
Advent seemed cooler than ZX at first, but the current trend of upgrades after you get the initial pretty awesome one seems to indicate lameness since they are too context sensitive: water upgrade is especially stupid since you can’t use it out of the water.
Also, warp system sucks since now it just costs money to go to places… half of which I’m not sure you’ll actually need to revisit, unless there’s some kind of mad fetch quest later in the game.
The armored shell critter is amazing what are you talking about DKL? It’s great for bosses since A: Every attack from the top/front/back doesn’t hurt it and that’s 90% of boss attacks, B: It slow works outside of the water just fine and lets you hit them when they’re doing something vulnerable. Every single boss form has useful abilities IINM.
Also there are lots and lots of fetch quests, many are obnoxious.
When I get upgrades, I want them to do cool things… lying there like a beached whale and making funny moaning sounds when you attempt to move isn’t cool.
Also, plant is pretty ass too: there’s no mobility.
Sure, they probably have uses in like bosses or whatever, but they are not fun to use in their current states: I would’ve preferred more types of armor like in ZX…
If anything, I would’ve liked a more seamless experience: you absorb the abilities and then they just get automatically used in different contexts (like Metroid or whatever), as opposed to switching forms (which still takes too long; they should’ve ditched freeze screen and just hurried the animation up as it breaks my flow).
But then, it’s early in the game… still, I don’t like these upgrades nearly as much as the buck thingy: that was actually cool.
Some of the upgrades end up being pretty OP, early game Shadow is super OP, my mouse was not a stylus in using it though X_X
Also, if you figure out how to make Atlas actually work right tell me as it was glitchy as frick for me, but the ideas behind how it shoots is awesome.
Agreed on plant hate though, it’s hard to use despite actually having some really good abilities.
Atlas is apparently FX armor from the previous game (you can edit the trajectory of the shots)… it seems cool on paper, but I didn’t like that I can’t actually move while shooting: you have to jump shoot and it’s annoying.
