Freedemonia in East bay!

@demon 20 sounds good. Im parting it out and trying to sell it to my friend.

GG’s to all, my team MANLY, is too good. @TAO, you taught me how to use Doomlittle correctly.

Alright that’s cool. I’ll pick it up from you next week.

Good games, everyone!

I have the best MODOK.

GGs everyone. Team Divekick is only gonna get better! Though I’m now finding it alarming that X-23 is struggling as my weakest link despite her being my most practiced character… Can’t wait to get back to the lab! :bgrin:

Yo, why the fuck is Megaman Legends 2 $100 on Amazon?

Shit.

Super rare cult classic. I actually sold my old PS1 disk for like $60. Just get the PC version if you want to play it. Be warned that it can be very finnicky and takes some settings adjustment to not glitch out.

Do I get the official or unofficial PC version?

Hyuk hyuk hyuk.

(no, for real… I have a mac though)

gg everyone great games as always

@worf and royal Art has shipped the plexi and art, it should be here by Wed.

GGs to you all yesterday! It was quite fun! Minor lab enhancements increased the damage I get out of my Viper combo if I switch a few things around for more efficiency, with 1 gauge I do 983,000ish no X-factor, 2 gauges 1,130,000ish no X-factor. May be able to get more with some more optimization though, slowly getting better at Seismos but they’re bloody difficult. X_X

Broke 1 million with 1.4 gauges no X-factor! and 1.15 million with 2.4 gauges no X-factor.

Any time EX burn kick is going to happen in the air always open that launch with 236 C~S instead of 5S, it does more damage and scales less for subsequent attacks.

Unless you have a Magneto speed projectile I foresee a large issue with being anywhere near the ground against a viper who intends to Zone.

I think with 1 team I can either be full rush down or full zoning depending on the assists I use.

Viper, Task Master, Spencer in pretty much any order.

All of them have 800K+ combos starting with only 1 meter that work anywhere on the screen.

They all have abnormal punishes for pretty much everything (Seismo, Arrow super/projectile counter, Bionic Lancer/Hook shots)

There’s a DHC between all of them:
Task–>Spencer: Horizontal arrows --> Bionic lancer (In the corner Bionic Maneuvers works as well for higher damage)
Task–>Viper: Down arrows into Burst Time.
Viper–>Spencer: Burst time --> Bionic Maneuvers.
Viper–>Task: Burst time–> Up Arrows (You guys should be accustomed to seeing this one by now. XD)
Spencer–>Viper: Any super --> Burst Time
Spencer–>Task: Any super–> Up arrows/angled arrows.

Spencer should always be angled hook shot for rush down or zoning, Task should be horizontal arrows on rush down, vertical on zoning, Viper should be Seismo for zoning, and likely for rushdown, though may end up being better on burn kick for rush down.

With Viper on point and Spencer angled assist when if you summon Spencer pre-seismo you get to go into an 800K combo off of a bloody full screen Seismo…

Can kill Sentinel almost full screen with 1 gauge and X-factor --;

Holy fuck, Justin Wong’s She-Hulk was good… made shit look free; I was inspired.

THAT SAID, taking a break from lab tonight to just sit down and watch movies (I have a very large backlog that hasn’t moved in months).

For the most part, we should probably start discussing Whorf’s Birthday plans for this Thursday; I’m down for hanging out.

Yeah, let’s go. I’m down for a kick it.

GGs to everyone yesterday.

Chrisis - You told me yesterday that you get thunder knuckle on accident while doing the seismo chains. So, I went into training mode today to test her out.

(1p side) After the first seismo (:f::df::d::df::f:+:m:), I don’t leave the stick at neutral. I try to keep the stick at a :f: direction to do the next seismo. When you do the 2nd seismo, you want to tiger knee it. It’s like this - (1st seismo -:f::df::d::df::f:+:m: xx 2nd seismo - :f::df::d::df::f::uf:+:m: xx 3rd seismo - [same inputs as 2nd seismo]). What you don’t want is to start the next seismo at a :df: input. When I chain, this motion - :df::d::df::f::uf:+:m: comes out randomly, which results in accidental TK’s. (Are you getting the same :df::d::df::f::uf: inputs too? Just wondering.) It kind of irks me a bit when TK’s a qcf+p move (qcb+p in ssfiv); would have been cool if the devs patched it as a reverse srk move, so I wouldn’t get TK’s coming out of the blue.

Also, whenever you see her flash, that’s a sign to buffer the next seismo motion. Try to input it quickly.

And… I’m really terrible performing seismos on the 2p side. I was super-jumping all over the place. I guess the ssfiv shortcut system kind of messed with my execution. I don’t know.

Well, I hope some of this info helps. Keep working on her seismo game. Eventually you’ll get it in no time.

^This guy is good at it

Thank you so much for posting this! That info may help me out a lot! Hopefully by the weekend I’ll be able to do more than 2 and it will be consistent. >.<

Just tried out Viper. I think I have a new favorite character (sorry Zero). I do :f::d::df::f::uf: and can do around 3 rapid fire seismos consistently in-match before I start getting random super jumps/TKs. At least I get more SJs than TKs, which relatively isn’t that harmful.

I told you to try her, the most amazing character after MvC2 Dhalsim.

When RyRy used Maximum Wesker against J-Wong he just tagged and it hit Wesker out of it O_o.

Do you use the jump airdash forward seismo aircombo loop at all? It’s listed as a BnB in the guide but I see you doing different combos.

My combo does more damage. XD That combo is amazing if you’re doing a Phoenix team though since it builds walls of meter for free, kind of like Doom’s loop I just prefer a dead character to having slightly more meter 99% of the time.

When trying rapid fire Seismos I realize I fail at life D:. I was able to get 4, A, B, C, B then got super jump A >.<. If you time it really well I think you can have a Seismo and a half on screen at a time, any time you predict a long range Seismo will hit summon Spencer beforehand and you’ve just gotten a free kill. Easier said than done however. Also a question, is it possible to get assists with rapid fire Seismos consistently? Execution on it seems really tight since if you give anything resembling a 236 it will snap back =/ if you do it right however you can fill the vast majority of the screen with bullshit. XD

Task Master vertical assist + Seismo takes up 4/5 of the screen, I think that Viper’s going to be an impossible fight for Haggar.

So I decided to try the Viper seismos, but my execution is terrible. I could like only get two in a row. Then I just decided to spam inputs, and it totally works. The input I was doing is just 62369A 632369A Xn. I would do a seismo ending at 9 and then go back to 2 without going through 5 (that sounded kind of cryptic).

And when I did them I undestood why Chrisis calls them Rapid Fire Seismos. I don’t even think this requires that much execution. I just can’t do them on the Player 2 side though. Here’s an ugly video of what I’m talking about:
