I was under the impression she was invincible throughout the transformation? I only did a basic test to super through Phoenix revival (mainly with X-23’s weapon X super), and it would always whiff. Sounds like using supers that stay on the screen for a long time would do the trick? I guess I could activate weapon X to sprint through the ‘burst’ then DHC into something else before X-23 goes into whiff state. I’ll test it out…
With X-23 you just need to use her 236AA super and it beats it. XD DHC to Doom’s Sphere flame and it kills Dark Phoenix
Just found that Sentinel is easy mode to beat it too Hard drive’s full invincibility kills it and plasma ball is outside the explosion’s range but still hits Phoenix. Neither of these options kill Phoenix just take her down half life, but with a DHC or X-factor remaining they’ll kill.
Dante can use 623AA to kill her if he wants to blow 3 gauges.
Hard Drive should link to itself and kill her if you’ve got two bars. Air Hyper Hard Drive!

Practicing DP hurts my eyes. But her BnB does 1 mil+, builds almost 3 gauges and it’s pretty easy. With X factor it makes everyone except Sent look like they have Phoenix tier health. If you can kill her at resurrection, I’ll be a sad panda D=.

You can kill her at resurrection and for some characters (Viper) it’s not hard.

I have room for 2 more people for mgl. MaNoel is not going because of midterms, so I have DKL and Chrisis signed up right now. I live in Berkeley so I can head towards SF if needed. It might save me a trip if someone else from SF wants to go.

Went back to the lab and you’re right DKL, but there’s hope! I other than reversal teleport which can be punished with a DHC Phoenix has nothing against She-hulk’s AA grab super. This also breaks the other set ups I was using, dang it. XD she seems to have actions on the first frame after resurrection. >.<
I think the She-Hulk thing is guaranteed to work given that there aren’t a lot of mobility options in the air…
But then actually hitting Phoenix with a combo using She-Hulk is a different story.
(But then, you just have to land command grab ONCE; try to anticipate teleport, which apparently only lets you start mashing buttons after a brief pause)

On the other hand, you kinda have to time WHEN you kill Phoenix… that’s hard.
In any event, I still think the best strategy is preventing Dark Phoenix in its entirety.
if you can offer a ride that would be great. i dont want to be a burden to the driver or for the people who let me use their sticks, but i want to try and get as much experience as possible to be competitive. i already told cpt munta that i was going to evo and try to show up the pros, but lol, i dont want to be free. so i need to get the raw experience.
also, politics at my job. its either 6-10 at mph, or 2-10 at buckingham way (literally next to where i live). mph, we will have acsess to the 4 tvs and projectors, but the buckingham way, we will only have the 3 projectors and a smaller space. i have 3 tvs that i can dolly out of my place, considering i live next to it. so what do you all think.
also, speaking of experiance, do you got room chrisis at your place tonight? wondering if i can come.
The ride thing is weird right now since Tao and Lumpia are coming, so you guys will have to sort it out.
ALSO, I’d prefer 2-10 even with less setups… we’re only playing Marvel at the moment anyway.

I really want to grind out some EXP in this game so 2-10 would be best even if space is at all limited. So long as there’s windows, or else Storm players may have some trouble.

Since taozenforce is offering his space, I will sign worf jostar and tastylumpia for the remaining seats. I’m not sure where would you guys like to meet, so we can do one of two things: meet at a BART station around Berkeley/Oakland area or choose a place to meet around SF. After the tournament, I can drop every person off at their destination since it’s going to be late and public transportation in scarce.
