The gradient here was rushed, and the bottom is not supposed to be orange… but I just wanted to give a better description to what I’m doing, and not make people think i’m doing a black / red theme like the akuma.

You should make the BG a little more spiffy than just a gradient.
Then again, simplicity is good at times also.
It’s not actually a gradient… it’s clouds + gradient overlay… but it’s a pain to see… I gotta work on it a bit…
If you’re referring to the SF3 avs, it’s because that’s the design… no offense, but DBZ avatars with blur and bevel aren’t exactly innovative.
