So here in Buffalo, we held a small tournament on saturday. Jug sat it out and I took it with no troubles. After winning, Jug played me and beasted on me. He whooped me 8-2 with DJ, 7-1 with gouken, and 5-1 with Guy. I still have a lot to learn in this game. I had no idea about the rufus vs guy or vs dj match ups. DJ’s anti air stops cross up dive kick every time and his jump attacks are brutal, I even watched as both his and Guy’s jump ins beat my crouch mp…
Adam, we needs to hit that training mode back up. I have a lot of stuff I want to test and learn.

Guy I can help you with. Dee Jay I too am baffled. Katermari (who you may remember, well, his girlfriend I KNOW you remember Jake ) said that Dee Jay is tough for Rufus if you don’t know what your doing. He is totally right.
Dee Jay’s c.HK actually beats out dive kicks, so Dee Jay if he runs away is much trouble. As you said his air to airs also give me trouble. We’ll figure him out. But Jake, also, you might want to think about pulling out one of your backups as well. I envision Sagat giving Dee Jay one hell of a time.
Basically all I take away from these lists is this.
Tons of strong characters in the A and B that can all win and are well balanced without any broken or characters that stand out (IE, no Vanilla Sagats, no 3s Chun Lis/Yuns, no Magnetos).
These characters : Adon, Dee Jay, Juri, Dudley, Cody, Sakura, Guy, Hakan, Makoto, T. Hawk need lots of work and dedication to win, while these characters: Gen, Dan simply suck ass and are worthless.
Mago didn’t say one word on Rufus. He’s strong as hell but I never agreed that he was best in the game and I’m glad Mago doesn’t either.
I think Ibuki, Juri, Makoto, and Hakan have tons of unexplored and hidden potential. I think Juri is going to be deadly once she is really cracked open.
Dude do you have a multi-tap for your Saturn? 6 player madness is awesome in GH. We gotta do this in the future, and I’d drive a car of you guys down to where he lives, but I can’t do anything this weekend I already got plans. No games for me whatsoever, can’t go to cinci either.
Next week I was wondering if AIP will reopen. I’m definitely trying to play some games next week.
i can tell you deejay has the upper hand on sagat. The match is pretty much the same vs guile except he can hit me full screen with ex sobat.

Hey guys, recently found this place and saw the Pittsburgh area. Im from aroud the Monroeville area actuallly. I mainly play SSF4 on the ps3. Looks like we might be playing at Art Institute of Pittsburgh from next week till the end of august. Once the fall semester starts people will probably start playing at duquesne’s student union. There is a tournament this weekend and one at the end of next month. I live out in the Irwin area if you ever want to get a few games but fair warning i’m probably the worst player out of the group.
Also I just found this beatdown 2 Aug 14 in cleveland I think they had flyers for it at the last cleveland tournament but i can’t remember it might be a smaller event.
