SSF4 will finally be released in less than 3 days! To celebrate, we will
be having a release party for Super Street Fighter IV this Tuesday at UC
Peter. Come down for some free-play and fun! There is also the possibility
of a tournament if enough people are interested.
We will have at least one ps3 and one xbox setup running, so feel free to
bring more setups. And if anyone is able to bring their own sticks please
do!

Stefan, I caught that video a little while back. I have zero faith in my dp, which is why I rarely use it outside of combos. I’ll have to try and it use it for anti air a bit more. I wonder if the side select works… I wonder if it will even come out in time. Stupid shitty dps…

Is it just me, or do all the new characters have some pretty shitty wakeup options. Seems like you can walk up and throw them all for free, and they can only beat that by using some EX move (or backdash)
Haha, it’s not like I just moved here, I’ve lived in the 'burgh since the day I was born (minus 4 years for college), but yeah, I look forward to some matches this week.
Dudley’s uppercut was never that good for AA anyways unless they were directly overhead. So don’t do that. Also, that air throw with Guy is somehow an air special. Don’t know how or why, but it is. I’ll find out. But yeah, dp was good on wake-up if someone was on top of you but not jumping.
I’m looking forward to more Guy stuff despite his short comings and a lot of Ibuki. This is going to turn into 3s for me, where I learn a little bit about characters and just go with whoever I feel like. Except in 3s I never learned stuff to do in matches, just flashy shit for fun since I had no one except Donald to play :arazz:
Ibuki has vortex and 3 moves that do 250 stun and untechable knockdown. I’m not random enough to play her but I wonder what Nam can bring with her :wonder: According to DJ01, if you get good with Ibuki, no one’s gonna see what you do next. I’m still skeptical about getting inside of fireballs but we’ll see how that goes.
Tatsus are punishable with ultra. Not sure who/what, but I do know its possible if they cross overhead.

the more practical application of both of those combos is to land c.LP > c.LP >(this is a link) c.MP > FK > FADC > Sonic Hurricane Kick, 99.9% of the time if you’re jumping in as guile you’re doing it wrong.
the c.LP > c.MP is a 1 frame link (difficult, but not impossible), the c.MP > FK is a cancel, extremely simple lol, edited previous post for clarity
Since I don’t have Super at the moment there is one other thing I need to test out, I know you can df.HK > df.HK > EX FK, but not sure if you can FADC out of that into ultra…extremely unlikely that the case would ever come up where that’s applicable, but would be some sweet sweet payback for all the Sagat roundhouse roundhouse ultra’s Ive seen over the last year

Edit: If you have that much of a hard on for the game go to Best Buy or the Exchange to see if they break the date. Otherwise Walmart, like discussed before, would be your best bet.
Nice. Thanks for the Guile stuff Stephan. Hmm…I deliberating if I want to stick with Guile…specially since I play pad. We’ll see. Probably gonna stick to him since im soo stubborn when it comes to character choice.
But look out folks this time around im seriously gonna try to up my SF game. Probably gona get back in BB hardcore when CS hits. Tekken is still my main game. But im gona try to expand my horizons alittle more.
