100% percent reset combo using only 1 meter bar and he can xfactor out of blockstun (What the shit capcom?!?) into 100% combo with one meter… welcome aboard Thor. Sent can also double jump and do fly mode combos into knockdown into super. I don’t think I was very excited about this game until saw these vids, they are Tragic’s combo vids on the front page for those who have missed them. Hooray for this only being day 1 tricks and combos.
Also, random side thought. Sent does a corner throw, then does normal jump into lk jab rocket punch. This combo in mvc2 would end there due to the number of actions you are allowed from a normal jump, however, sent does two lk’s on his way down… this might mean that guard breaks are a goner… not sure how I feel about this… considering how much I love gauranteed damage, I’m a little heartbroken. But it does make it a bit more balanced for the rest of the cast. Again, I’m fucking estactic. MARVEL 3 HYPE!
Of course a team like Haggar/Haggar/Haggar is impossible. That would make your opponent’s testicles melt…waayyy too much testosterone.

We are only on stuff found day 1 by a handful of people that got it early. I can only imagine just how far the breaking will go.
The using x-factor to cancel block stun will make alot of characters ridiculous lol. It’s not just something Thor will be good at. You can most likely just x-factor and do a crouching lk into a juggle with any character for a 100% combo. Game’s gonna be retarded :looney:
Also that combo is with x-factor set at level 3, so that only works when thor is the last character alive

I’m thinking about picking up MvC3, actually start to show up more consistently, and play for real instead of just seeing no one playing HDR and then messing around with something random. Currently I’m planning on playing Zero/Wesker/Amaterasu as my main team, but also trying Zero/Chun/Phoenix, Taskmaster/Morrigan/Hsien-Ko, and Chun/Spiderman/Hsien-Ko, although I might be throwing Hsien-Ko out of all my teams for someone faster because her gong assist wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. Ironically, Zero might be able to fill both support roles she had, so you can probably expect Zero one way or the other.
Right now I haven’t decided who I’m rolling with yet but definitely felicia will be on the squad of course maybe dante or wesker as my second choice. So many things have completely changed. Bascially until I get my official copy if jill is pretty good I might have her on the squad. X-23 is friggin quick as shit and wtf is with haggar man his assist lariat holy crap its really effective.
Yeah I will be getting that pad as well I like the design of it ah brings back some memory the design is like Neo geo’s design. Its going to be fucking awesome!
Thor needs that power to kill you though. Easily one of the least mobile characters in the game.
Thanks Jake for the sentinel assist tech. Wolverine turned the game into vampire savior corner rape after that. And if Ryu didn’t get the job done at 2nd, x23 did.
And there’s even more stuff I have to throw in to wolverine pressure. That was just basic dive kick A B C something sentinel. You guys need to push block more too. That’s all you need to do to get Wolvie off of you. The times I killed whoever (I dont remember) in like 4 seconds was because you tried attacking instead of push blocking then pursuing. Ultimately though you want to keep me the hell away because otherwise I will mess you up. Trish has to have an excellent match up against Wolverine because 1 push block and he can’t get in unless he has rocks or drones or something. Every time I got shoved out, I had to sit through her tracking super chipping me.
Nice meeting you Hablouken. Your team was noticeably difficult to fight.
Day -5 impressions GO:
Better than I thought it would be, but I think it has the same thing any broken game has: Its fun until somebody learns the broken shit. And everyone else’s shit is useless. That being said however, it really does feel like its an “easy” version of a marvel game or TvC. Like it’s built for people who don’t care about competing even moreso while trying to keep the “hardcore” aspect. They did a good job at that but I don’t know how far that will go. Stephone and Jake benefited by having previous experience in the VS games and it was obvious SOME of it still works but it seemed like a lot of stuff was gimped. Not so much that things didn’t work but it just was more like being handicapped.
And by the time me vs Jake part 2 came around on my streak I was mentally exhausted. I dont know if that was from calculating black body radiation of a star with a certain wavelength threshold or actually playing.
Death edit: xbox might be goin dead. Disc drive requires 2-3 open/close for it to even read right now and it’s making stupid noises. Jason, any chance you can see if this xbox is re-flash-able so it can run from the hard drive and maybe unban it?
Thanks again for having me over. It’s a new system and it will take some time to get used to it. This game will be much more fun once we actually have some training mode time to our selves. I’m down again for next Wednesday.

That PDP pad does look nice. $40.00 seems a bit steep for a pad though. The oversized analog stick with microswitches sounds like an interesting alternative to the standard d-pad. From the looks of the preview video the quality of the controller looks better than the mad catz pads of this console generation and better than the nubytech pads for PS2/Original X-Box.
