Oh wow, that is crazy old. That was either the first or the second season’s beatings. Me and Skisonic had a draw game on the last match of our marvel set. So we had to play another match, it was mad close too. After the draw game, everyone started going nuts. Wong ran over and bet on Ski, telling everyone that I was going to choke… he was totally right. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as much pressure playing a fighting game as I did in that one match. I blame Wong personally, what a jerk. The craziest thing is that everyone dubbed that set as the highlight of the tournament. Fast forward to Bar Battles, bam, made highlight of the tournament again! I’m so cool.

Enough talking about it and just do it! If you’re going to run a tournament then start taking the initiative and begin the planning. I’d show up 
I’m of the mindset that if we are gunna do it, we do it right or don’t do it at all.
That means renting out a proper venue, cash pots for each game, plenty of setups, streaming equipment… it’s not going to be cheap. We’re looking at a couple grand easy. If people are serious about this then I’ll support it.
Personally I think it’s more of a headache than it’s worth, but it could be fun. I’m open to discussion.
That was our idea for when Kyle was getting ready to leave. I talked to the Nitespot manager and he said we could’ve used it, but the time frame we had was very small and there was a semi-major the week before we wouldve had it, and another big tournament the weekend after, and we didn’t want to hold some half assed tournament because there were 2 other big ones. Tyson had Tekken crews interested and Kyle could’ve drawn the GG/BB people himself, throw in Nate and Jake and a few others and more would have shown up.
The timing was just off :shake:
