I will kick the living shit out of TJ in cvs2, svc chaos, fighting jam(boree), mvc1, mvc2, xmen vs street fighter, & cvs1. That’s not even mentioning the games I’ll beat him at that don’t have ryu but have ryu like characters, except clayfighter, why are you so good at clayfighter TJ?

I’ll agree with you on Nate, he’s got natural talent at games but gets easily bored. Playing reload against him is some of the most challenging stuff I’ve ever done. I honestly feel like I either out think myself or can’t beat his reaction time.

SF4 rankings for us are skewed. TJ is on top of the pack, even with rust. The most solid player after that is Nam. Although I know I can beat Nam, thanks to sagat, I feel like he is still a better sf4 player than myself.
I’d say TJ, Nam, Me/Adam/Aaron/Nate. RJ, you need to step you game up son! Same goes to you Bobby! Although I take great note in the fact that you guys are progressing a lot. Mad impressive.

As for the Jugg comment, thats bullshit. Why would that be as high as any of us should aim. I recognize that he is a great player, but he’s beatable, just like any and all of us.

As for Tyson, what the fuck man? 17th place? Out of 20? Did you leave to get subway and get dqed?

Lastly, jeez this is a long post, I’m gonna keep playing every game. I just got smash bros yesterday for the wii, I’m gonna have Jesse teach me how to play algol, and I now own tekken 6, I’ve already started practicing the new combos as well and the taunt unblockable set ups. I’m gonna go all the way and I don’t care if you split it up by game, fuck it, I’ll win everything.

I didn’t say Jugg is as high as you should go, but if you can’t beat him then how high can you REALLY go? How high are you, honestly? Yeah shoot for higher, but you gotta reach him first. Next Buffalo tournament, let’s see you pass him. Next one should be within the next 2 months from what Herb has seen/heard from Brian.

First order of business: Games can be played here Wednesday and Friday nights and Saturday during the day. I’m not going to tournaments any time soon because I have no money or ride, so we can run 2 SF4 setups if need be. We usually play Tekken on PS3 anyways.

We’ll re-organize the ranking battle system. Herb brought up a point: TJ was all for the ranbats… and hasn’t showed up once. We also have to pick a day that’s good for EVERYONE. We need everyone’s input: Friday night or Saturday day time? When we can get Nam, TJ, everyone we can for Tekken, and everyone we normally do for a single day once every 2 weeks, then we’ll set a final, ordered schedule for them. If a game doesn’t have at least 8 people playing it, it is not being ranked.

Sadly no. I can’t play online here at school. If I had disposable income then I might have paid for outside internet just to play.

Edit for Jake: I do believe you can and will get a lot better now, especially since you have the consoles and games now. I’m looking forward to seeing you place top 16, top 8, or higher in the coming tournaments you attend.

my car situation is still the same so this is why I haven’t made it down. I’ve been using betsys car to get to work. I’m not about to douche it up further by driving her car to downtown Pittsburgh just to play street fighter. I’ll be down when I can make it down.

Good posts we got goin on here.

So here’s what happened. The pizza I got at Milano’s the night before when we were at duquesne, I left in the car all night and in car ride all the way there. So we got there and I ate like 3 pieces. So it took the time between then and when the tourney started for it to hit my digestive system. So I was in the bathroom for the rest of the day. Now Sdog’s bathroom is quarantined. And I got DQed. Same in the team tourney.

Thats my story and i’m sticking to it. But seriously we just were not prepared for the tourney. I don’t think we couldnt of done well it just that we were not on are game. So like Stephan said anyone who wants to learn Tekken seriously let me know. I am gona be more critical than I usually am. So we can all get better.

But yea of coarse the Tekken/ Soul Calibur ranking are skewed too. I probably would not as easily get first if DK would show up. We all know how we stack up against each other. But my main purpose of the Ranbats right now is just to establish a re-occurring form of comp to draw out new players and let people know that we play. Good players/ potential good players are usually drawn out by competition. Just casuals are good to but if people have something to play for, that gets them more hyped to practice and come out. I know that’s how I was back in the day when I was new. In fact I probably wouldnt be here if I didnt here that Brian was holding ranking tourneys every week at the arcade. That got me amped to practice and get better. So yea it would be great if everyone showed, but we just need to keep doin this thing so we can grow our scene. Tell everyone you know who is remotely interested in competition. It starts from there with everyone.

Woah now… no offense to anyone but me and Aarons bouts usually go back and fourth and I beat Nate’s viper pretty regularly. It’s only his Gief that makes me not feel like playing anymore. Fuck Mother Russia. Don’t get me wrong…I love Fei and all but between the character deficiencies and some of my own, I’m starting to have my doubts he can compete with Sagat and Zangief. I’ll still main him in Super but I’ll have alts that I’ll actually enjoy playing as well, at least three of em. So my game will be brought!

I agree that RJ and Aaron’s fights go back and forth. Learn to play someone with a reliable DP and projectile and I think you can be up there RJ :tup: Last time I saw you fight TJ, back in Beaver, you guys went the whole way I thought too.

You guys want Tekken 6 players? After class on Friday if conditions are nice, myself and two others might be down to play with ya’ll at Duquesne. That is if you guys can handle it. (I’m assuming we’re invited for the sake of competition)

That also means additional 3s players, CvS2 players, and MvC2 of course. Oh and SF4, but yeah I’m not going to hype that one.
