Frankdadank's tron bonne general strats and stuff

In training mode I today, I realized that if you hp during or after an airdash you get a much faster crossup/fake crossup than, say, an hk or an lk. So you can call ground assist jump ad jhp land slk smk xx lunch rush. Or you can replace the slk smk with slp smp, they do about the same damage, I haven’t checked exactly.

Any strats with Iron Man? A or B.

Combined with Tron, thats cool. Im thinking IronMan anti-air with Tron beacon (the little “gun that stuns”).
Do lp, mp, IronMan, hp gun, lunch rush. You can mixup and all, but thats kinda a lame combination IMO. IronMan though, can work on rushdown with Tron proj I guess, thats about as dynamic as it gets with that combo.

The Storm Tron corner reset trap.

Get the opponent to the corner.

summon tron, then tri kick/low kick mix it up until you hit the opponent.

Time the hits so that you’re able to launch the opponent into the air successfully after tron goes off screen do SJ lp, SJ lk, SJ RH with a slight delay so that you land right after the opponent crashes to the ground, before he/she gets up summon tron again and repeat.

Can take out MSP easily if done correctly.

Not as effective against Sent teams.

Awesome against Strider Doom.

Make sure Tron doesn’t get forced to be point early on with a snapback from a mag.

I just discovered Mike Z’s corner grab combo with Jug’s assist can be performed the same way with mag’s and storm’s proj assist except the timing’s a bit different with storm.

Meh, least my MST game’s been upgraded also got two more in my lower tier rosters.

Tron Bonne with MBison explosion assist serves for a real ghetto, but fun and jank trap setup. LK+MBison, MK, DrillxN is really strong in the corner. Especially since during the whole sequence you can alter the timing and cancelling (especially need to have control over the drill). They can’t call assists if timed right…even if not, the assists usually get stuffed and if they are even able to leave blockstun they get hit with explosion. Tron can mixup, combo into flying screen, super, or other. Either way, whatever you decide to do it can always lead back to the trap.

Sonson monkey assist can sorta do a much weaker version midscreen. Monkeys at least help you control that area somewhat but it’s not nearly as stuffing as MBison explosion.

Tron and Bison-explode actually have an un-pushblockable blockstun loop in the corner, with [Bison, HK drill fully mashed, optional dash]xN. If they pushblock the drill you don’t move, and if they pushblock afterward Bison is what gets affected. It’s also very difficult to pushblock guard cancel since when you recover from pushblock is usually in the middle of the Bisonball.
I tried to use them for a while since it is guaranteed death, but it was impractically hard - as in I couldn’t do it consistently even after a few weeks of practice. It HURTS your hand. Plus it tends not to work on Sentinel, of all characters. >.<
