Where do people go to play CvsS2 in Fort Wayne, Indiana area? My friends and I are very good and want to play people who know differen’t strategys and have higher skill levels than us.
Story: My friends are from Mexico and when they were younger they used to play many different fighting games. I used to play fighting games too when I was younger, mainly Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. I brought my PS2 over to my friends house because they only had a PS1 and we started playing CvsS2. My friend wasn’t that great at games like GT4, GTA:SA, and FFX. But when I put in CvsS2, I was supprised to see that they all were very good. So we started playing every night. Now we are looking for more people to play.
Also: Are there any newer Capcom fighting games out now or coming out? PS3? It would be cool to see something different than CvsS2, though we have great time with it and it could last for years without boredom. Possibly, in the future we might check out Tekken or something 3-d, but I do prefer 2d Capcom stuff. If it doesn’t have Ryu, Bison, Vega, ect it probley isn’t prefered by me.
You play CvS2? That interesting. I’m not sure if you saw the previous Fort Wayne thread, but there are lots of players of varying skill levels there. Unfortunately for you, most of the players in Fort Wayne play Third Strike although a few of them will play CvS2 for time to time.
Do any of you play Super Turbo? That would make a couple people happy for sure.
We should set something up. I’ll actually be in town this weekend, and I’d like to play you guys. Sunday would be the best day, although I guess anytime would work I suppose. Let me know what up.
Well I just did some research and I think buying the Anniversary Collection would be a good step in expanding our fighting game knowledge and skill. I used to play Super Turbo on SNES back in the day. 3s and Super Turbo on one game for the PS2, yeah, I will definetly go to Walmart in like 6 hours, going to sleep now though.
BTW, we live in Warsaw, Indiana. I just thought it would be a good idea to see if someone played in Ft. Wayne because I go to college there and it is a bigger city than Warsaw.
Where do you go to school? If it is IPFW, then 2 of us are students there, and 1 teaches there. I would suggest picking up Capcom Classics Collection 2 if you want the closest thing to Super Turbo arcade perfect. It is only 20 dollars new.
We usually meet up at Putt Putt which is just north of the mall. They have SF2s, 3rd Strike, and Soul Calibur. We occasionally go to peoples houses so you might want to bring your stick if you use one. I don’t know if I will be available Sunday but will see you in the future. Later.
Hey, Im renegade’s brother. Havn’t played CvS2 in a while, but I definitely consider it to be one of the most fun-packed fighters ever. I would play it more, its just that the extremely good players take the fun out of the game for me with all the roll canceling and they all choose the same freakin people =(. Ya Annivarsary collection would be good to get, but you may have a tough time finding a copy.
Im not much into the 3d fighters, I hate tekken, but Soul Calibur is pretty much the main one I will play (Im not very good at it though haha). For some reason I guess a lot of people dont like Alpha 3 round here, not sure why? Although I dont play it much, you might like it if you dont already have it cause its got ryu, bison, etc. (Alpha Anthologies has all 3 alpha’s on it by the way, + more).
Oh yea, Im also just recently getting into Super Turbo, learning this game should help all of your fighting game skills, its helpin me.
Hello. You are in luck because as previously stated there are a bunch of folks around here (most of them on this website with accounts) who are always itching to play folks at fighting games, with an emphasis on Street Fighter.
There are a few of us that I suppose would play CvS2. I’m not a big fan of that game by any means but I’ll still play for fun. Plus like everyone here plays 3rd Strike. My favorite is Super Turbo, and your best bet for that is to get Capcom Classics Collection 2 for $20. I’m always trying to get folks to play more Super Turbo. :wgrin: But overall we’ll play anything for fun. Some even play a little MvC2, Guilty Gear, and Tekken.
For now (cuz I’m looking for a different job) my work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday with hours of 4pm - 12pm midnight. So the Sunday and Monday weekend kinda sucks but I’m game for doing stuff on some of those nights. Oh and be sure to post in our other Fort Wayne thread and talk to WKDCLWN who hosts the most awesome video game parties ever! You’ll certainly want to get invited to those.

Yes I am an IPFW student. In my town, Warsaw, the Anniversary Collection is in none of the stores. I am curious to who the teacher is that plays? Anyway, yes, our skill levels are below the roll canceling and other crazy stuff. But I plan to expand my skills and eventually get good enough to compete in tournaments.

He doesn’t play with us too much cuz he is one of the chairpersons of the anime club that he does at IPFW. It is Friday nights from 6 i think to 10. I occasionally go with Gary when we have some time to kill. It is in Science Building room 185 I think. If you are interested let me know and we can meet up there. How many years have you been going to IPFW? I am a freshman and my friend Gary is a Junior. He works in the Kettler computer lab room 219 I think, I go in there a lot also to kill some time. What up peoples another Fort Wayne rep here, well kinda. I’m more into alpha 3 and 3rd strike, tekken, guilty gear and yes i can play Cvs2. I’ve been waitin to play you people in cvs2 cause i’ve been playing and i think i’ve gotten better.
I can see this is my next chance to shake the dust off my newest team, that’s a C groove team of Vega/Sakura/Chun Li (r2). It looks like this will have to go down at the next party (January, really?) so I look forward to it. Well, unless someone finds a way to hook up with me some Sunday and we go to someone’s house to play cuz obviously Putt-Putt doesn’t have it in a cabinet anymore, and I’m not complaining.

Sorry for the delayed response I have been working a lot lately and not enough time. Anyway, my one class was cancelled and I will be taking all of the classes in Warsaw at the Warsaw IPFW center. We played a guy at putt putt today, he was alright but didn’t seem to be into getting better.
