Not this thread again. :coffee:

So Akuma’s Raging Demon in MVC3…is super hella fast.

Mike, I’ve started work on my own combo video, seeing you do yours finally spurred me to start capturing footage. but I’m not sure if I want it to be a personal video or a fort-wayne video. But it’s multi-game, multi-character, super video. And I’m so excited for it.

Spencer - i would get in contact with David Johnson regarding your combo video. what’s that? oh, you actually want the combos to be completed and have good execution? well why didn’t you say so. never mind then.

j/k Mr. Dave. sorta.

hey guys i know in the past you’ve heard me/Gary/others mention these Zangief videos where he keeps doing the jumping headbutt and there is some weird chicken music that gets played. well i finally found some thanks to the newest one appearing here on SRK. these are so funny. NapTown Clutch “Grand Prix” Trailer…It’s up, I’m finally done w/ the pro mo trailer Make sure to watch it in crispy 720p HD

We in there!

I’ll try to make it out, depending on where it is. Is it the usual spot? And the IPFW Club thing will definitely be nice if we could have that goin. I’ll let my friend know too. His Akuma has gotten better, so BEWARE!! JK I’m sure you guys can handle it. I also decided to make Hakan one of my secondary characters. I’m okay with him, but definitely need a lot of work with him.

zap - that was a pretty neat promo for the event

Martell - we won’t be playing this weekend, heading to Columbus to take on Mr. JWong again

But isn’t he not going to be there? Or did that change again so he could be?

i’ve seen nothing that indicates he won’t be there. what are you talking about?

ill just leave this right here

Cool Brent. Kick his ass good!!

Oni Akuma’s 2nd ultra has been dubed the ROFLRocket. I approve.

ONI Akuma has an AIR RAGING DEMON!? WTF?!

Still, it’s no x-up tatsu into ultra 2, so it’s nothing to write home about.

dang! Puff “on blast” as they say. keep trying your hardest, Puff. maybe don’t take any more tips from Perfect Legend in the future.

ok, everybody just needs $10 for the Cbus trip please.

is anyone interested in going to Indy in just under 2 weeks for their T3 tourney? i’m gonna hit that one. last time i asked about a T3 tourney it seemed nobody paid any attention to the details so i’m going to go the extra mile to really spell out everything you should know before making your decisions…

http://shoryuken.com/f21/indianapolis-we-do-play-games-i-promise-225521/index55.html#post10032282
this above link contains all the information about the event. you should just click on it and read Barzaad’s post that will appear at the top of the screen. it will take you 3 minutes and you will know everything that i know. but just in case…

 1. T3 Round 3 (i’ve heard nothing but good reviews about the first two!!!)
 2. Tilt Arcade in Circle Centre Mall… Indianapolis, IN (local!!!)
 3. February 5, 2011… 2/5/11 (less than two weeks away!!!)
 4. 5pm start time… 1700 hours (late start time!!!)
 5. SSF4 & 3S… SSF4 will be on both consoles and 3S will be on PS2 (only two tourneys being held!!!)
 6. $10 to enter one game or $15 to enter both… folks bringing setups get $10 combo price or $8 for one game (cheap!!!)

and to help steer clear of any confusion about payouts i will separate this section from the rest of the information and give 1st grade level examples for some of you.

top 2 in each game gets a Tilt gamecard and splits HALF THE POT 70/30… HALF THE POT… HALF THE POT

example: there is a total of $100 in the pot for SSF4. Clem wins 1st place and Martell gets 2nd. Clem would get a Tilt gamecard and $35. Martell would get a Tilt gamecard and $15.

the reason for this is that in order to host these events the venue (Tilt) gets the other half of the pot as a hosting fee of sorts i guess. also worth noting is that 3rd place in each game also receives a Tilt gamecard prize.

from everything i’ve heard about the previous 2 events, everyone has had a real good time and good comp. lots of Indy players and Purdue players come to these. Ghetto Dave goes to these. i know Barzaad and a few other locals want some of us from Fort Wayne to come down and show 'em what we got.

another nice thing about this is since it’s at Tilt you have access to their arcade games (including HDR being on free play in a candy cab from what i’m told) and of course just one floor below there is a food court with all kinds of options.

is anyone interested? also would anyone be willing to lift the burden of driving from me for once? it sure would be nice and appreciated after making so many 3 and 4 hour drives all the time and all other chores to help the group including hotel reservations and getting milk at the local grocery store (see what i did there Mike? i’m j/k… well sorta)

The last one did take half of the pot for Tilt but I’m still happy with the event. I don’t remember if I payed a venue fee along with the SF4 entry fee though. We had several cabs to play on, a projector for the GF’s, and that spacious theater room. We had 22 entries for the last one and about 20 for the first.

I will definitely make it out to that tournament if my health gets better, I haven’t felt this bad in many many years, maybe I’m going through that Third Strike withdrawal and the only cure is to play in Indianapolis.

Yo, i’m down with going as well. FYI We will have Turbo and 3rd Strike at locals pretty much every weekend to attract any other types of SF players.

Indy needs to play more anime games. Scribbles would be disappointed.
