Fort Wayne, IN - someone please post something for crying out loud

Dude if you buy it I have a huge garage and can hold it if you need someone to. I’m sure I know where they live and have access to a truck. Just saying.

Hmmm. I might have to use those services if i can get this guy to respond back to me. We’ll see

Meanwhile…I’m gonna have to step away from capcom for a bit. I just quit playing Super competitively (despite what Tim says, good games last night tho bro). Now they take that game, and pair it with Tekken (which is a series I also do not like)…sigh, and apparently there’s the other game made by Tekken people (which I KNOW I’m not touching). Sigh…well there’s always MvC3 and online 3s I guess. At least we know how Evo is gonna look next year.

Super
SFvT
TvSF
MvC3
BB:CS
3s/TvC/MvC2/T6/whatever game the people vote for

Milan your Tekken Tag looks to be back!..hope you don’t mind some SF characters in it

Haha, I feel the exact same way. MvC3 and 3s are something to look forward to for me also, but that’s about it. You do know though, that there is no avoiding entering Super right? Heck, even I entered it last tournament, and Isaac plays that game more than I do.

Ok, I wasn’t sure about Street Fighter vs. Tekken… but holy shit… The game looks fucking crazy…like what SUPER SF4 should have been (OH SNAP). Right off the bat Ryu has his Zebra Kick, WHICH WALL BOUNCES. And the Kasuma was able to dodge the Fireballs like Dudley’s dash. It def. deserves to be looked at.

I’m excited about the new games but I agree with Dave that I will NOT be playing the 3d version of Street fighter.

Thats kind of narrow-minded to be already saying you wont play something before it even comes out, let alone before a screenshot or two comes out. I know the last 3D SF was bad but so was vanilla SF4 IMO, yet I still gave super a chance (AND I liked it).

That being said, I think it will be a LONG time before we even glimpse the 3D version, as each SF character brought in will need to have a set of 80+ new and original moves developed for them, and then the moves need to be all tweaked and balanced.

Im really worried about the balance for both versions. Capcom isn’t really known for being fair to all their characters, and it takes Namco 1 or 2 updates (which im not sure they’ll do for TvSF) to get their games balanced. The first version of every recent Tekken made is always broken as hell (examples, Tekken 5.0 and Steve, Tekken 6.0 and Bob).

Josh: There’s a definite reason why I probably won’t play the 3D version of Street Fighter vs. Tekken. That reason is my dislike of the Tekken series as a whole. I’ve been trying Tekken games since the first one way back in the 90s and even after playing the most recent one, this series just isn’t for me. Virtua Fighter and DOA are much more my style when it comes to 3D gaming (VF 5 is still king to me).

Brent: Props on finishing in 13th and I can’t wait to hear what the actually results were for each ST qualifier.

I love VF5 tooooooooo! Id actually like it more than Tekken if we got an update more than once every 50 years lol. If I was living in Japan though, I would be in the arcades playing VF5:FS in 2-3 days.

Many props to Brent for doing well. Dave just call me if it’s a go on that machine or PM me on here.

someone owes me 99+ rounds of Samurai Kirby.

woman i ain’t letting you embarrass me like that! although i was getting faster by the end of our matches from PU2010 so beware because i might start getting close to your average of 08 one of these days… yeah right

thanks guys. all i can say is that i really enjoyed myself this weekend except for the 14 hours of driving (which will be a topic of conversation again in the near future, fyi). i met some folks for the first time, re-united with people i haven’t seen/competed with in a few years, attended another Wilson tourney, and finally met a NFL player who was nice enough to take pictures with me.

all i can say regarding ST is that there are a few more things i still need to re-practice, and that the format of our US qualifier was certainly unique, but that’s in the past already and i am fully gearing up for the $50 arcade ST tourney at SB5 in October and folks from all over the US, Canada, and Japan better play real good cuz i will. not that i didn’t play well this weekend… it’s hard to explain so just read the first sentence in this paragraph and come to SB5 and cheer for me.

i am still a little emotional from this weekend. i don’t typically have this response when returning from a tournament and preparing for another.

Wow, sounds like that was quite the event. Sorry you didn’t qualify.

Brent- Its good to hear you enjoyed yourself down there. Last time I myself have traveled so far for a tournament (KiT:R Nashville), it was a disaster. Im very glad you pulled out with a good experience.

Damdai not letting me borrow his $500 now on facebook. I never liked that guy anyway.

Um, since the Columbus tourney is 4 weeks away shall we start getting a realistic head count? Basically between all the folks that don’t post here and the ones that refuse to answer if they are coming or not we can really only max out at 4 (myself, Spencer, Josh, Ryan) but regardless I guess I’ll start us off. Would I realistically want to attend CBB3? Yes, yes I would. There, we have 1 “yes” and 0 “no” replies so far. Go go go! But in all seriousness I bring this up because Spencer brought this to my attention that we may just need 2 cars to get everyone going to this. As much as you all love me driving you all around to all the tourneys I cannot drive both cars. I would be very pleased and amazed at the same time if I could possibly get away with not driving either of the cars this time. And this is just a regular Columbus tournament so I’m figuring/hoping we can possibly get 2/3 vehicles headed to Columbus in October when SB5 rolls around.

Brent, I was really hoping you and Frank would be in there, but it was good to see you come out man. That sucks for you so bad that you basically had one shot at qualifying since your best character ended up winning the first tourney. I mean I know your Chun is good but I think at this level it was going to be Vega or bust for you :frowning:

I def saw the real Brent in many of your matches though, and I’m glad to hear you’ll be practicing for SB. Damdai already called it “the hypest ST tournament America is ever seen”, lol, I should use that for promos. Spread the word on GGPO man … we’re finally announcing this this week I hope

Brent, I’ll be going.

Im 95% sure to come to CBB3.

As far as driving goes, I cant be too sure about driving to CBB3 (I got my licence a few days ago but the only car im insured in is having a few problems fixed), but I may be able to take myself and up to 3 (4 if people are willing to get a little squishy) others to SB5.

Cool, so as expected we have exactly 3 “yes” votes and 0 “no” votes and it will stay this way until the last second and suddenly we find out others may or may not want to come.

Josh - thanks for chiming in on the driving situation. At least someone is.

Is there anyone else that can possibly drive to CBB3? Either if we just take 1 vehicle or if a 2nd driver is needed?

After some serious shit talk with a PSN buddy of mine I just got my ass kicked and humiliated by him. He hospitalised my ass with 1/4th the roster (including my very own character). Now I have some serious inspiration to use these weeks leading up to CBB3 and im going to study and train in Tekken harder and for longer periods than ive ever done for any game in my entire life. Im gonna win the CBB3 Tekken tournament. I know the last time I said id win something (BBCT Michigan Masters) I got killed by the comp and I was depressed (anyone remember my “I suck at fighting games” stage? lol) for a week, but this time im really dedicated, and im not distracted by other matters.
