Are you talking about the instant overhead setups? If so they are supposed to use fuzzy guard so the opponent can’t be in crouch state. I do remember people saying it was probably limited to tall characters though.

Well I have had fun these past 2 nights trying my hand at the new game. Dave as you already know I disagree with you on the flip kicks but obviously I have more certain moves to test them against but if they are beating out Dee Jay slides on the ground and T. Hawk jumping splashes then I think he is doing fine. Agreed on the ultras early on but of course I will have a lot of situational testing to do once I get my own copy. Having an overhead is nice. The EX wall dive is better now so I’m just thrilled. And like I told you I think his regular wall dive is a tad different in this game.
I will have to look into Guy and Cody more than I originally thought. Of course I will have plenty of Hakan stuff to figure out. :tup:

Nope, only 1 sonic boom. I believe Blanka’s ultra 2 motion is the same as Guile’s ultra 1 motion.
As for my thoughts on the game: It feels like the focus has different attacking properties, and it seems like Level 2 focus is maybe 25% faster in coming out. Hard to tell though. Dee Jay’s EX up-kicks does some major damage. I’m liking all of the changes overall, but it doesn’t look like there are any characters that interest me, maybe Dee Jay though.
Spencer/Gary - It has been found (my dignity is still lost though). I’m sure Brent will get a kick out it once I tell him.
Brent - I can try and show you the Chun trick sometime Friday evening/night on Xbox Live because I’m sure HDR won’t be making any kind of appearance Saturday, though, I have yet to try out the many variations of this greatness in classic, but it looks like they all should work.

TO unlock outfits: GO into either versus or arcade or challenge, it doesn’t matter, just not training.
Just fight one game, win or lose, go back to the character select screen: Grats you unlocked your 2nd Taunt.
Do it again: Grats, you got your 3rd color!
It goes Taunt then color until you get them all.
Only works for first player, and only works on the character you selected.
Just to clear it up.
Oh and effenhoog: I LIKED Nu Mirrors, It was the funnest fight by far. It was my goal to win every Nu Mirror I fought in. But Juri Mirrors, I can see them like Nu Mirrors with the 3 fire balls for sure.
Oh, and Gary/Clem. Thanks for training me last night. It’s something I’ve needed for a long time, and I’m glad it finally happened. I started doing better by the end of the night, and actually beat Gary legitly (With an Ultra even!). But the Juri/Akuma match is fucking bullshit. He can just zone and space her all day for free (which is exactly what Gary was doing). I think that’s her worst match up so far that i’ve seen, but it’s possible, you just gotta play sooooo fucking smart.
Thursday was awesome guys. A ton of fun was had!
