After numerous hours of playing/breaking the stick in, I just want to say that this is a top-notch piece of gaming hardware. The craftsmanship is just awesome. The p360 works great, the art is kickass, and the thing just owns overall. Now, I just have to wait til I get back to the dorm to play some 3s.
My recommendations and business are definately coming to you again,
I think i broke the stick you made me. It happened when i was carrying it from one house to another.
Anyways, the down left and down right diagonals on the p360 are completely unresponsive, until after about 10 min, then the down left starts to work, then give it another 10 or so, then the down right starts to work. This is really annoying, do you have any idea whats wrong, or has anyone heard of a similar problem?
I know its not the ps2 controller port either since i’ve tried it on my pc and my other port and the problem still exists. Thanks.
Just got your tracking #, Phong. Thanks for keeping me updated in a timely manner  . Can’t wait to get the stick hopefully by this weekend.
Just wondering, say my stick eventually wears out along the line/and/or gets broken–how difficult would it be to replace it with a p360? I ordered a competition.
Yo, DF. My friend was thinking into buying a stick, so I told him about the stick you made for me. He checked out your site and told me that you didn’t have any artwork and couldn’t find any links to them. Do you still offer them?
it shouldn’t be that difficult to replace with a 360 pat, but you’ll need to solder the 5v wire though. Btw the tracking shows that they tried to deliver yesterday or friday and no-one was there, so they’ll try again. If it’s unclaimed they’ll send it back to me, so don’t forget to pickit up!
Musashi I still offer them. I just have the arts on a different link and haven’t update. I dont think i will ever though. I’ll just make a new site.
I just received Phong’s (AKA, Dreaded Fist’s) custom stick last Friday and I must say, I’m very very impressed. Here are a couple of my impressions:
Very well made and crafted. You can tell that a lot of thought and effort came into the construction of the stick, from the subtle sloping of the stick’s face to the rubber feet on the bottom, preserving the bottom.
Parts are excellent. I ordered a Happ Competition stick and convex buttons and they perform just like the arcade, if not better since they’re brand new and not worn in. I requested an eight button universal layout, and it works like a charm in transitioning from 3S to SC2. The distance from the stick and the buttons is just right as well.
Fast delivery and great service. Phong will do his best to answer your questions quickly and keep you in touch. After finishing the stick, he even sent to my e-mail the tracking number without me having to ask for it.
And just a few nitpicky things…:
Came with a small paint scratch in the upper right hand corner. Nothing worth crying about, but it bothered me to see it on a brand new product.
Ran out of button colors I wanted. I worked around this and got a good layout still, but it was a slight inconvenience to do so in the first place. I don’t blame him since he got a crazy order beforehand with three or so eight button sticks with all black buttons (the color I was short on), but it also meant waiting another week if I wanted my original layout. I decided not to, and I’m still pleased with the result anyway.
Overall, I would gladly give my business to Phong again. The small nitpicky things I outlined pale in comparison to the overall result I received. He runs a good operation and his products are excellent.
i tried your suggestion and sprayed out the p360 multiple times, no luck. the two bottom diagonals are still dead until i’ve played for 10 min or so on it, then they slowly “unlock.”
When the diagonals do work, they work on both ps2 and pc, and when the diagonals dont work, they dont work on both. So it seems unlikely that this is a voltage issue.
Anyway I’m tired of trying to get it to work properly, you think i can send it back to you to have a look at it? Thanks.
Sexpackets: Can you check to see none of the wires(power wire mainly) are loose on the 360?
If all else fails and you insist on sending it to me, then just disassemble the 360 and send it to me. That’ll save us both on the shipping. I’ll try to see what’s wrong with it.
Have you emailed happs about this issue? What happened during transportation exactly that might led you to think that you “broke” it?
The thing I’m most concerned about is whether its the problem with the stick or the problem with the pcb. You think its possible the pcb got messed up?
I really dunno what could have happened during transport, I just know it got messed up during then. I did stuff it into a small backpack and drive around with it in my car but thats about it.
I believe its a problem with the p360. If its a problem with the pcb(pad) then the directions itself won’t work. The diagonals are a combination of directions. Something just came to me thx to Mr. Nem Cantu. It could be possible that the 360 pcb got displaced some how and the sensor/s no longer have a clear path. Some of it is caught behind the plastic of the 360.
