Robin, I tryed contacting you on aim but no response.
Im not at all trying to come and here and direct things, but myself and a few others ive spoken with that REALLY REALLY want to come to this and support billy, but with the date of this event set to what it is, theres no way any of us down here could make it!
PLEASE!!! change the date if possible at all.
What would be a better date for you Aleri? Jan 8th, Jan 15, Jan 22 or the 29th…Holidays are crazy over here. Especially gonna be tough with what happened. I personally want as many people to come as possible. January 29th to me would give people 2 months to prepare or take off and I still haven’t seen a posting by Robin. I’m sure he’s been busy though. From the Ideas I have got from my peers, I have decided the best way to fundraise money is to have a raffle while we are there. I will Have a collectors edition of marvel vs capcom of your choice of system to the winner. So if you want to donate 20 instead of 10 you can. Because each time u pay 10 dollars you will get an additional raffle ticket. I also have 4 shot glasses that I got at my manager’s conference that are from Capcom. Featuring Megaman,SF II, Ghost and Goblins and Final Fight that are limited in number that I will give away also.
When Robin asked me about this idea, I said yes. I just want to be able to give my daughter a nice burial site and a great memorial. I will donate the rest to Sids if there any left over. Just to let my friends at SRK know, funerals are not cheap and the pain lives on forever when you lose a child. I can not put a price on my daughter, but this event will help with my pain. :sad: Can I try and get a head count of people who would come, because my wife wants to bake and possibly cook
Any date that’s not a Holiday is good, so if anyone agrees more-so on any other date, im perfectly down for that!
P.s. those shot glasses sound awesome.
I seem to flake out on every other Richmond tournament, or any tournament Robin runs. I’ll say this, if it is on Jan 1st, 15th, or 29th, I will make it, barring some unforeseen hurdle from my job.

I’m ok for alternative date suggestions, but my thoughts on the 1st were this:
It’s a Saturday
most everyone’s off
No one does jack shit after they recover from being hung over.
traffic’s usually pretty light on new years day.
Hence the 4pm start.
All I know is that Christmas is out, Magfest is the 14th, etc.
I pretty much hate Sunday tournaments, as they cut turnout by about 30%.
Open to suggestions.
Billy, this news seriously struck me boss…im so sorry for your loss man i really am! Keep your head up, your fam is in my prayers…i dont even play to many vid games anymore but for this cause i will def donate money or make it to the tourny…date doesnt matter, its all about your fam right now…take care
Moose, I want to extend heartfelt condolences to you as a father of two that understands. I’ll try to attend the tournament for you guys to help out.
I’m speechless. I’ve lost 2 kids also so I know the pain your in sir. Be strong for you and your wife!
