Which Naruto game is the best in terms of balance, fun factor, and all that good stuff? Another question is how different are Naruto 2 on PS2 different from the gamecube games and such?
GNT3 owns. If you have 4 people, it’s really a riot. And while it’s simple, it’s still good fodder for 1on1 as well. If you like powerstone though, the ps2 one is the way to go, as the gameplay is quite similar.
ive only played the ps2 one, but its pretty deep and the learning curve is kinda steep, but its way too fun…cant get enough -.-
what the fuck, naruto for ps2 isn’t deep, each character is designed ridiculously closely to a specific design skeleton, and for the love of god, you can interrupt combos with the kawarimi button just by mashing on it. it’s fun, but it’s not deep by any stretch of the imagination.
is that the one where when you hit them with an attack, it turns into parappa the rapper? haha that games retarded, every characters pretty much the same. Played it for about an hour because we were drunk and, goddamn, rock is dope.
If you want a decent fighting game based on the anime, get GNT3, if you just want a “game” with ALOT of Naruto fanservice though get NH2 as it has the most characters, all of their jutus are represented and some not shown in the anime yet. NH2 gameplay isn’t that great from what I seen and just seem like an excuse to show the the drawn out jutsu cutscenes which do kick ass but I couldn’t see myself watching them over and over again when playing.
You can check out the differences between the two games yourself by watching the vids at combovideos.com and shi-shi-rendan.com. If fact, I would just recommend d/ling DJB13’s NH2 jutsu exhibition vids and buying GNT3, best of both worlds IMO.
I dunno guys, if u check the narutimate hero 2 section of shishi-rendan Rockman has put up a lot of tricks u can do in that game. Check the cancel workout and item cancel as well as the combo vids to find out. I dont think its as shallow as people make it out to be.
Sounds like you were talking about the GC version
Both versions are button masher and both versions have there own problems. The only bad thing I find on the PS2 version are the balance issues.
I enjoy NH2 when it 1 on 1 play, and I enjoy GNT3 with 4 players.
EDIT:
The whole vid was rather common sesne if you take the game seriously.
Both games are cool guys, I dont like it when someone says one is better than the other without having a good valid reasons. I know that this is a forum and that everyone’s views should be heard but plz dont just hate, lol. THey both have dfferent playing styles which are meant to be fun. To be honest some ppl like NGT better cuz of the graphics. I remeber when ppl were comparing Narutimate Hero with NGT2, i thought that was kinda messed. Remember the ppl that made the GC naruto have gotten 3 chances to make a good game now while the ppl that made the ps2 naruto just got their second try. I personally havent played NH2 im getting it soon, and i hope i enjoy it. Its nice to see ppl finding some stuff like those guys did from shishi rendan. The canceling can help make some matches more interesting. NH2 pwns the original NGT (LOL).
Delicious truth. You can Kawarimi supers and between combos (escaping hitstun for 1/2 a level of meter).
Tenten has an easy ground infinite with her punch chain and air shurikens for those off times when the opponent doesn’t have the meter to escape.
and of course, the GCN version is for mashers
Only if you want to lose. If you mash, you’ll never be able to bait Kawarimi properly and hence, lose to someone who can.
Actually, thats the only problem I find in NH2.
You will ALWAYS have a meter to escape.
EDIT:
Same rules apply in NH2. If the opponent were to button mash then his attacks become very preditable, thus making it easy to kawarimi out of attacks. Also, you can’t just mash the block button and hope for the best because of the timing it requires in order to escape combos.
