that movie was far from “crap”
To be honest, the plot is practically the same as the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic book.

Skrulls, Uatu, Galactus, Silver Surfer, Annihilus, all characters that are known, and can’t be used by Marvel, at this time. Hell, they can’t even have the Ultimate Nullifier.

No. MvC has nothing to do with Dooms popularity outside of the fgc. And even then the fanbase for doom is nothing but lolrocks or lolm&m’s which is just stupid.

As far as I know, the story goes Squirrel Girl was meant to be a one and done character, but this was back in 1992. Seeing the abysmal dark ages that comics were dealing with(dark gritty, over the top machismo, pouches, guns, anatomy of cartoon parodies of muscular/sexy, Rob Liefeld), Marvel went ahead and decided to make Squirrel Girl the anti-90s comic industry character. Light, happy, plucky, not serious at all, and existing entirely to poke fun at comics(Kinda like Deadpool except not as murderous). Since Dr Doom is and was a big baddie of the Marvel Universe(as well as being someone who will FOREVER take himself too seriously), he was a prime target for Squirrel Girl.
Squirrel Girl also beat Thanos(the real one), and it was implied that Wolverine is afraid of her for some reason.
