For those of you that had hopes for the new Fantastic Four Reboot........have a seat

It’s legit a really bad movie. Nobody was happy about it in the first place except die hards who would watch 4 pieces of grass on screen, called the Fantastic Four. Then it got released and was offensive to anybody with eyeballs.

It is obviously two movies, done by two different people. The opening little bit isn’t TOO bad, in the sense that you kinda see that there’s a little hope for a movie, albeit a different type of movie (i’ve been hearing a huge chunk of the movie was to be a sort of Cronenberg type almost horror movie, with them dealing with the radical changes they were going through. Then by the time they go get their powers (which is terrible, especially since Sue isn’t even with them, and gets hers when they come back), the movie just falls apart. You can literally tell they were reshooting scenes and adding shit so they legit had an attempt at a movie. The infamous Sue wig’s changing, the lack of any action or story, it just gets BAD. The ‘training’ scenes are all in the trailer. Sue knocking back those shipping containers, Johnny flying up a shaft, those are literally all you get to see in the movie. Even stranger is scenes in the trailer, even ones that alluded to some action in the movie, weren’t in the final movie.

Almost the entire movie (when not in flashbacks) takes place inside a warehouse. From what I heard they shot the entire movie in Louisiana, and since it’s boring as fuck and full of hillbillies, they just shot every fucking scene indoors. Scenes of Reed, and Johnny, and Thing in a city saving people? Nope. Instead you get Thing in a dark room with military guys asking him to go on missions for them. MISSIONS YOU NEVER FUCKING SEE. Scenes of Johnny flying around, doing cool shit? Nope, instead you get a scene with him street racing in a piece of shit hatchback, then a few shitty lines about him not respecting authority, then he just never talks or is seen again. I was worried because of the whole black nonsense, but man, there was nothing to worry about because he may as well have been Reed’s fucking shadow.

When they get their powers, Reed just fucks off for like the next act of the movie. Then just shows back up again because “reasons”. You get what could have been a decent Thing vs Reed fight, and literally the first bit of action in the movie after like 80 minutes, but instead they end that with a OHKO. Then Reed is suddenly up for helping them do whatever it is they were doing without him. And suddenly it’s the end of the movie, Doom is back and looks absolutely fucking retarded, and they are just suddenly a team now. Never done shit before, most of them barely see or talk to each other, hell they weren’t even together as a team when they got their powers. Then Doom kinda throws rocks at them (???) for awhile, until they make Ben invisible to punch Doom and they win. The end.

Torrent this. Literally, you could do so much more with the $10 you would spend on this movie. I watched it, and felt bad for my HDD for having it on there for 2 hours.

lol I know that, its Marvel property that Fox owns a license to.

Posting in the lounge today… It hit me…

All you need to do to make a good Fantastic Four movie is adapt this to live-action:

LOL @ The Incredibles being a better Fantastic Four movie than actual Fantastic Four movies…

Congrats for getting to that conclusion a few years late.

What SoVi3t posted was painfully accurate. There are a lot of things that didn’t make sense, even more so now that he mentioned them actually. Reed running off for like a fucking year with no real solid plans on coming back or what to do if he did. I don’t know, they just really threw off the characters and went for dark/gritty when the intro of the movie was like family friendly. And Sue getting powers by not being there, made no god damn sense…

Miles Teller and Trank almost came to blows on set.

The best thing Fox can do to salvage this movie is to release a tell all documentary surrounding the drama of making this movie. It will be more interesting and successful

and of course, a wig tribute:

Shit, I’d buy that movie.

I’d buy it on bluray, dvd, digital media, and see it in theatre on opening night, without sneaking in whiskey to mix with my free refills of root beer.

Why is this thread still active?

(Because, if you would read, there’s still news coming in about all the problems with the making of this movie and some people are obviously interested in that.)

Given that the answer to your insipid question was incredibly obvious, let me ask you one: Why does it matter to you if this thread is active when you don’t have to post in it, much less even look in it? I’d say “read it” too, but you obviously didn’t even bother to do that if you had to ask.

This movie is straight outta shit.

The articles are interesting but I want to see videos interviews.

herein lies the mystery that some people would like to be unraveled. the way the “movie” played out and how disjointed the story became holds some clues as to how differently trank and fox saw the project should be executed.

until both sides of the story can be confirmed (as if that will ever happen), it’s all speculation as to what really transpired on set and post prod of this “movie” which made it the abomination that it is.

I’m curious to hear what Jordan says about all this. He worked with Trank on Chronicle, was picked by him to be in this movie, and he seems to be one of the few who hasn’t really said much during this debacle.

He’s probably smart enough to say nothing and move-on to other film projects in the works. Dude seems intelligent and humble enough to let go of the controversy surrounding the movie, and just continue to do his thing.

Jordon did say that “they will see it anyway” when asked about the negative feedback the film got pre-release. He probably still washing the egg off his face.

I just don’t pay particular attention to these things like I used to in the past. It’s not like I took my time to read/watch every little thing about the process of the FF reboot. If it was one of my peak interest then I would’ve paid more attention to it but I’m definitely not like some of you particular individuals here were completely up to date about the situations involving FF.

(I’m tempted to ban the person who flagged D’Nyc3’s post despite its stupidity given the Preppy already told people that’s only to be used for bots or actual forum violations, like someone posting porn.)

Meh. I’m still waiting until the rumors are more than rumors. Waiting every so patiently.

As for Jordan not saying anything, beyond the opinions already offered, there’s potentially the chance that him working with Trank before in Chronicle, which I still haven’t seen, would make picking aside even more awkward at this point since for what little we know about it, it seems pretty obvious that something happened with Trank as far as him being unprofessional on this movie. I’m not sure how Jordan got along with Trank during Chronicle, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if that was a factor for Jordan being silent even if he was notable for talking about behind the scene stuff, which I doubt that he is.
