not all scissors can be punished with jab spd, sometimes bison still ends up too far away to get grabbed.

Against Bison it’s good to use lariat while walking in to beat normals and scissor kicks, don’t go crazy with it just do it to scare your opponent from poking you to death.
You can beat ex psycho with lariat so look out for that. When you hit him with something follow up with a combo, don’t try to reset him since the character is kind of hard to catch.
Other than that you’re doing well
You could ex green hand ex rush punches on reaction so that’s a better option than trying to lariat through them.
When he jumps in block, I find it easier to space your self out about stand roundhouse distance and prevent balrog from jumping with jump back/straight up roundhouse.
Finish your combos of course, also if you block a headbutt and are too far for a 360 you can do far stand short into ex green hand for the knockdown.
Your playing solid though, so keep it up.
Yo Seventy2B, gg last night. I watched your videos beforehand too so I had somewhat of an idea of your style. I noticed you like the GH into SPD. I still got caught by it a couple of times. It’s still pretty risky and I wouldn’t recommend trying it too much. You might catch them once or twice but smart players will make you pay for it. I lucked out on that 2nd round with the jumping jab. I was actually just trying to get out, I wasn’t expecting the jab to come out. You would have won that round had you just completed the combo. I also noticed you like to hold your FA on rainbow balls. I find the timing to get him while he’s landing to be a little tricky because gief’s FA isn’t exactly the fastest. I usually always just dash out and SPD or Atomic Suplex. But if you want to get them with an ultra, I guess hitting them with the FA is the way to go. More risk, more reward I suppose.
Hey man, gg. Yea i definitely have some bad habits. I suppose its from playing it G2 for so long against people with 2K, i could usually get away with that stuff, but now im paying for these mistakes. I definitely need to step up my game if i wanna hang with the G1 crowd. Thanks for the info!

Nice vids man. I hate those Bisons that do their DRs all day long. I would have tried to build meter as well while they’re doing their DRs while trying to talk them to the corner. I want to at least match their meters or limit them from building too much meter. One cool trick I like to do from time to time is to stand next to them on a knock down and back dash on their wake up. If they’re EX stomp happy on wake up, they’ll land right next to you and you can SPD them. Works like a charm. I try to focus some DRs too from time to time but the timing is kind of tricky I think. So is the cr.mp. I usually eat the DR because I mistimed my cr.mp.
well, you’ll see that if you time it right, I was doing ex green hand on the way down. I learned that on the fly during the match. The bison that I beat in the tourney I won (Josh P) was a lot better at runaway tactics than Joo.

I think early splash beats out ex stomp on his wake up. The heatbutt will lose or trade at best. But I think it will lose most of the time. Gotta test it out.
When you grabbed him out of the ex PC, that was awesome.

The finals are on Sunday with the winner getting a semifinal seed at EVO, about $500-1000, and roundtrip airfare plus hotel.

Do some early headbutts to neutralize his demon flip pressure. Once he gets hit by one, he’ll back off and you can put on the pressure. Also mixup some back dash in there from his demon flips. I think you can SPD him if he misses. But don’t get predictable. Mix it up. That empy jump into super was nice.
