Double tapping is tapping with your middle finger and then your pointer. You just go POINTER POINTER POINTER POINTER POINTER POINTER POINTER POINTER POINTER POINTER.
Triple tapping on ultra? That’s called mashing. Triple tapping is called P-linking or pianoing. Which is hitting Fierce, Strong, Jab. Sometimes it’s used with two buttons. It buffers the strongest option out. IE for Rufus’ BnB combo its Short, Fierce galactic tornado. On the fierce you P-link Fierce then Strong so it essentially gives you a 2 frame window instead of a 1 frame window for the link.
I think that’s the combo at least I don’t play Rufus. It’s why a character like Vega where your BnB combo is jab, jab, jab, jab, strong but you can’t P-link because it always chooses the strongest option so Strong would always come out. So in this instance you would double tap.
completely incorrect. You don’t know how i have my button layout thus you don’t know, what finger i use to do anything try again.Try researching first before you make yourself look pretty stupid thanks. Double tapping is just hitting the same input twice such as lp and mp then lp and mp in quick succession.
Very very very wrong again. Double tapping and plinking is too different things but have a common base. The common base is to insure that move comes out, by allowing another set of inputs to HELP guarantee it.
Double tapping for example, for a ultra, if you are skilled enough to, in the heat of battle doing a 720 then press 3px2 in perfect succession then you have two chances … two chances for that ultra to come out, besides one. That is not mashing, so please do your research
i will help you go to about 2:20 DAVID SIRLINS TUTORIAL ON PIANO INPUTS

Two different things but they share a common ground something that is used to help guarantee something. Next time try to actually know what your talking about before you make a reply to something ok thanks bro.
oh yeah one last thing, mashing from the school where i came from is to get out of throws, for example in st or hdr, to " MASH OUT OF A THROW" you from go from downforward to up, making sure to go across neutral and then at the same time(Because everytime you go from down forward to up back the game counts it as a full circle input, which is what you need to reduce the amount of hits that you will receive ie ken’s knee bash throw), press hp,mp,lp and lk then in a "PIANO STYLE " to get out of throws. I learned this from a friend and on hdr and st where the throws are zero frames basically, you can reduce the amount of hits and in some cases, you can get out of the throw without taking damage, but that’s if your god-like with it.
So in all reality mashing out of a throw, has a technique but also, i know now, that some people also call mashing when someone just presses any button unconsciously without knowing, when and what time the move my come out, such has ryu mashing a dp throw someone’s block string. What iam doing is totally different so, thanks for sharing but do some research first thanks
There is so skill to mashing throw. You can either tech them or you can’t. If you’re using a command grab then churning butter doesn’t take skill either.
In your example of jab and strong are you trying to say option select? Because hitting those two does nothing.
Thats mashing unless you have it mapped. You don’t hit the inputs fast enough for it to register as a double tap. Does this make sense? It’s not theoretical physics. It’s SF4. The frame window to tech a throw can not be mashed like you say. The frame window is 8 (I believe so it may be 7) frames with is 2/15th’s of a second or 8/60th’s. Go to your desk, now go middle finger pointer. You get twice as many in that double tap then you do then just mashing one finger.
If you use the l2 button or whatever you can double tap. Then again nobody uses that. If you do then I’m sorry to tell you it’s what scrubs do. Sorry I said Pianoing and Plinking. It’s pretty much the same concept. Pianoing for more inputs, IE Ehonda Hundred Hands and Chun Li. Where P-linking is two.You can use 3 I suppose it should work the same as 2. I believein SF4 there is nothing to deter from it. I’m sorry I didn’t go into deep detail for you. I’m also even more sorry it took two days of researching videos for you to respond.
Basically you told me nothing. Please do your research.
Um… it’s not about tapping the buttons twice within the (7 or 8 frame? Dunno where this number comes from) window. Let me give you an example…
When you empty jump ultra, 720, PPP/PPP instantly. I’ll make a 3 second video to show you how fast it is. What it does is, abuses the buffer window. So when you land, there’s time between when your char hits the ground, and the first input is accepted. If you’re 1/100th of a second too early, you’ll land on the ground and stand there. Nothing will happen at ALL. No lariat, no ultra. If you double tap, the buffer window will pick up from the first input, which wasn’t accepted, and the second PPP will be buffered into the ultra.
It’s not about doing the input twice during the window. It’s about making the window you have for it to land smaller. In reality, it’s a 24 frame buffer window.
If you don’t understand this, I apologize in advance. It’s definitely, definitely not mashing.
ok, i have more videos of me getting my ass kicked… i don’t like recording videos of me beating up on someone thats free. So i post videos of where i need to improve … there and now it’s a ryu

i know i got destroyed …but this guy said,he beat vegita-x 20-10 so, if that high level gief had a hard time then i guess thats’ why i did so, poorly but fuck no excuses … HELP ME GUYS THANKS
uhmmm what is Wax talking about? I never lost to him b4… Everytime we played I was up like 10-15 plus games…Man whatever though if thats what it takes just to boost his ego then sure he beat me, 20-0 if I do recall.
I see I’m going to have to start recording my matches and putting people on blast if lies like this continues.
I wanna see way more low shorts buffered into ex hand in footsies, no fierce splash meaty attempts (doing jump attack meaties on Ryu is a bad idea in general), better punishes (ie 360k or ultra instead of lariat), jab hand after spd (even if you don’t want to do a meaty attack, you need to close that gap), fewer random ex hands, no more meaty cr. mks (cr. shorts or jabs to hit confirm combo or spd instead), and a reversal ex hand after every blocked Ryu sweep. Also sometimes he seems just fine with walking backwards when you walk at him. He’s waiting for you to do something stupid like random jab/ex hand or far stand roundhouse, and good job to him because you often did. If he’s willing to walk backwards, that’s great… just walk him backwards. Also, he rarely tried wakeup stuff, and since he never had to use dp xx fadc, he had super meter a lot. You don’t want him to have super, super means that it becomes very difficult for you to get around fireballs. One way to make sure he doesn’t have super is to make sure you pressure him intelligently so that he feels the need to spend 2 bars to get out.
I 'm just surprise he would say that. Everytime we played it was always ggs after the set with the exception of last time which he raged quit on me. The only and I do mean only Ryu player that actually gives me trouble is Alex Valle… but its all good, I don’t even know why I come on SRK sometimes.
bro, he came into my party yesterday and offered to play anyone. He knows sosicknashfan, so, i was like like cool and played him. Then after a few matches of me getting destroyed he brought your name up and he actually gave you alot of props but he said, the last time you guys played that was the score and the first time he said he played you that it was similar but overall you beat him.
I don’t think he was being cocky about it, but he also said your the only zangief that gives him any problems.once again he wasn’t talking shit but i 'm just telling you what he said, and used that as a point of reference in the match to compare his skill too. I never heard of the guy and hearing that hearing that the last time you played him that was the score i was totally amazed. A few people, (after he left the party) said, that he left they don’t believe him because they have played you and they know the guy isn’t that good but i don’t man.People talk shit, your one of the best damn zangief’s in the country man, so you are going to have some people that want to make a name for themselves saying that they beat you.
I would also recommend buying a camera and recording your matches or a video card.SHIT, IAM PRETTTY SURE everyone wants to see your fights and how you do against people like valle and other high level players. So, in essence it wouldn’t be bad. You also shouldn’t get mad bro, take with a grain of salt homie, your a cool as dude and a great player mad props to you regardless of who say’s what
Everything meaty that i did he fucking dp me right out of that shit.I mean, i don’t know if he was pyschic but a few times after knockdown i went to do a meaty low short and got fuckign hammered every fucking time, so that’s why in the begining you see me trying for it and after a while i didn’t go for any meaty attacks.
I also didn’t know that doing meaty splashes on a ryu was bad. This is the first time that i ever experienced this, so, i learned my lessons. What else do you recommend… i try meaty knees they seem to work better but i am not sure
I didn’t know that you could punish his cr.hk with that thanks
What are some ways to pressure ryu? i usually go for pressure after a knockdown but i couldn’t seem to knock him down as often as i did other ryu’s. most of my pressure comes from knockdown and following up so, since i didn’t know what to do after knocking him down from a spd or ex.green hand since he auto corrected dp everytime i didn’t have that option or better yet, didn’t know what option i had.
ok, is there a way that i could buffer in my ultra as soon as he land. like what move, because i can’t do cr.mk to whiff then ultra him, the cr.mk is too slow and it seems like the cr.lk is too fast. I have seen aloha used taunt to buffer ultra is this a wise idea… what else do you recommend?
Its all good, I don’t mind losing I just play the game if I win I win if not, O well…This is actually a first for me…kinda funny once I think about it. Anyways, yeah just listen to Ultra david advice regarding ur matches. Everything he stated is pretty much on point…
Yeah, don’t do meaty splashes. Lay off meaty knees too. Basically, Ryu can beat all meaty jump attacks with autocorrect dp plus varying the timing of his quick stands (you can beat this if you time your knees perfectly, but you have to have guessed which wakeup timing he uses correctly, and that’s not a good risk), and even if he doesn’t, you don’t get much advantage from doing knees anyway. It does tiny damage and tiny block/hit stun, and the guessing game after it is basically the same as if you’d stood in front of him in the first place. Knees should be used sparingly imo.
And yeah, cr. short is your best buffer for whiffed dragon punches.
As for whether to meaty attack him, don’t get scared. If you’re scared, you lose. I can understand wanting to be careful most of the time, but don’t let him get away as often as you do.
i pretty much for the most part have this down. Iam not fucking perfect with it, i mean but i will practice to get that shit at least 97% of the time… thanks
TO ULTRADAVID AND EVERY THANKS FOR THE ADVICE… i have absorb all of the knowledge that you guys have passed to me, and i will pay him again and i will outcome will be totally different thanks
