You need to learn to time C.PPP lariat better. In the Ryu match you really missed some opportunities. You also are jumping in way too much, he is pretty much just waiting for it and your paying for it. Also I noticed you did alot of 2x C.LP and just stopped or did something really late like lariat…your opponent also did nothing. Change that to tick LP SPD ( eg. Jumping HP/MK/LK c.lp c.lp pause LP SPD) Also you are doing abiguous crossups all day. CHange that to say D.LK knee into suplex or even simply jump over and throw. Even a meaty C.LK xxx EXGH will work on occasion. Dont forget that a perfect placed J.lk knee will stuff SRK on wakeup, but you will also pay if they block.
In the chun match, what I normally do is take advantage of Jumping LP. Her HK hits above whatever you throw at her beside this normal, which stuffs what shes throwing. As for a meaty, when you knock her down, do a really late Neutral FP headbutt. It will either trade or stuff her EX SBK. Also when you jump in on her and she is spamming standing HK, do really early jumping MK which can stuff those if timed right. This tactic also works for almost all standing HK spammers. You just need to time it right.
I notice you chase alot even when you have alot of life lead. I understand that turtleing is boring, but making them come to you can work in your favor.
Forgot to mention, Alot of times she jumped in on you. Take advantage of Crouching MP. She has alot slower of a jump compared to a shoto, which is alot harder to hit with this.
Too many, way too many random green hands dude. Be more patient and less GHs. I also noticed you love mashing those buttons. You must be hitting each button twice each time for each action. Relax man. Take a deep breath and just relax.
honestly bro… i use to do that but online i can’t do that… i can use cr.mp offline but online i can’t seem to beat anything with it. so, i just took it out my game for some characters
yeah, i do double tap, because alot of times when i do it on a single input somethings never come out, so, i have to double tap for my own assurance. yeah, i know for the random green hands, i was just frustrated with chasing him that’s why i was doing the random green hands. yeah, i am usually patient but with those guile matches i was fed up man.
The only thing I can say to that is get better at your reaction time. Chuns jump is really floaty. Even with a 2 bar connection im really successful at nailing the C.MP. If you happen to corner her, learn to not rush it sometimes and zone her out and stay back. You should be able to bait her into jumping in at you. By the looks of it, the person your playing does this quite a bit. Stand your ground and be patient. Full blow rushdowns and frustration will just mean more losses.
In the guile match you tried alot of S.HK -> SPD. He decided to turtle alot and just charge DB and stay into position. You can mixup but using DB or DF HK also, which for me works better and tends to move me forward. You just need to learn the ranges on both. Needs to be just enough to not hit them and get you into Jab SPD range. You also tend to do the Jump in to C.MK into spd/ultra/super combo. The dude obviously knew about it and countered it everytime with a jump. In higher level play this little shenanigans wont work, so if you notice them countering, stop it all together or mixup with say a quick mp headbutt.
a few things i noticed-like crapface said, way too many random gh’s. plus u gotta work on ur combo execution. a lot of times you’d land some cr.jabs and then just stop. u missed a few lariat opportunities as well. u also seem to use cr.rh a lot. imo that’s not a good idea since it’s obviously punishable on block. also that guile used cr.rh a lot and u didn’t punish it once. all scrub guiles abuse it and u can ex-gh that or focus and punish.
yeah, my execution i find that I have problems getting hit confirmations… sometimes, after lets say two…cr.lp… i go for a simple cr.lpx2 st.lp cr.lk ex hand… and it would just drop or i would get nothing after a cr.lk . but that same combo i can do it 50 times straight no problems but online i struggle.
Also, alot of times on guiles cr.hk i would block and try to ex hand on reaction but i can’t do it online for some reason, it’s every hard for me to punish but i guess i have to adapt to it . About the random green hands, when i am frustrated, i have a tendency to try to use it, like it’s good but i will have to do better.
I can’t use cr.hk on him, because he’s really twitchy with his flash kicks and can react to things pretty quickly.Well, iam not high level yet, i will train and try my best to be so, but i was just trying to use the tools that i know to win.
Also, i really don’t know what you mean, by cornering her and not rushing her down. Also doesn’t her neutral j.hk beat cr.mp clean, so, why would i use that with her in a corner? lets say you get a chun in the corner how would you keep her there?
I get caught by Guile’s cr.HK all the time too because I’m trying to EXGH him after the first hit and it doesn’t come out due to lag. It’s very frustrating because when there is little to no lag, I can get him every time. Playing Guile when there is lag is twice as hard as playing him when there is no lag. 3 bar Guiles are almost as bad as 3 bar Sagats/Hondas/Blankas.

Three things that I think u need to work on IMO:
U got to hit gief links man, u was dropping them like crazy, If a player doesn’t believe ur going to hit gief links he’s just going to hold up on u or mash on dp.
U got to mix it up more, u didn’t have any mind games which after the first intial game u became easy to read.
I noticed u started trying to buffer moves but if ur not 100% on point then I would not even try it. I’m not sure if u noticed but anytime I through a normal out I was buffing it into EX hand, its only b/c I’m %100 sure that a random ex hand will not come out unless the hit is confirm. I noticed u were attempting the same thing but most of the time random Ex hand came out without the short landing, which led me to believe that u didn’t know how to buffer properly. So with all your tails at my disposer it was easy to come up with a win and that should have never been the case. Eventhough the count was 10-0 there was a game where you had an opition select and u chose to do something risky knowing that I had a full ultra. U should have just played it safe and backed up and wait for me to come to u. I only had a pixel of life and u had a hard lead on me so why risk doing something random when my only opition is to land an ultra.
With all that said I still have a lot of work to do myself. I hate making mistakes during a match, i really get pissed off at myself when I do something stupid or drop a link. (For example; Eventhough u probably thought I was playing well and all but to my eyes I wasn’t. I didn’t drop any links on u but there were at least 3 matches where I did sometime dumb or didn’t punish u properly b/c of ur mistake. The first thing was when I saw u short jump and I tried to lariet and of course u caught me with a Ultra. Eventhough I still won that match I was so fucking mad only bc I should have known better not to try a lariet from that distance. The second thing was when u did raw ex hand and I didn’t punish u b/c I thought that u would cancelle not knowing that u didn’t have enough meter to do so. Anytime someone does a ex move I always look at there meter bar just u so that I can react in time. But that time i did nothing and was extremely upset at myself b/c of it. 3) Towards the end I knew that u was fearing my links and when I had a knock down I tried to buffer the short into ultra but Ex came out instead. Again this pissed me off so fucking much. These are the kind of mistakes that seperate us from the Japs. Now again, u may still see this as not a big deal b/c I still won but the way I think is that I would rather lose and play a perfect game then win off of luck.
I am not talking about her N.Jump, but more for when she is jumping in at you. C.MP should outright beat anything (that I am aware of) she does at you as long as you time it right. As you said earlier its very hard to connect with most characters, but im telling you her jump is way easy to hit as opposed to most characters. Like I said she has a floaty jump so it should not be hard even with some online lag. That person your playing knows exactly how to hit and beat your C.Lariat, so doing this will def throw off his game.
What I mean by zoning her in the corner is stay just far enough away (S.HK distance roughly) . Work that C.MP as she jumps in on you (occasional C.HK when she lands sometimes works, but most good players will block after the AA). Im not saying completely zone her and stay there, you will obviously need to mix it up and get in on her. But be very much aware of her meter when you do get in. That dude apparently reads you like a book with your heavy jumping game and you eat EX SBK all day. And obvious meaty on her wakeup is NJ.FP headbutt really late to beat out her EX SBK (really late timing and practice it)

yes, i do need to mix it up more, but i have not mastered, certain techniques like short jumping, which is a big part of his game,… i don’t quite understand how to do it in general, but i have a small grasp of what it may look like.
This is brand new to me, buffering a forward down down-forward into a green… i just found out about this like a few days ago, and also know how to do, it but i don’t have it mastered. usually, i try to hit confirm by myself… by doing forward down downforward lk and if it connects then i just press two punches. so, that’s why a lot of the times, it would be 50/50 chance of me getting the actual ex hand right after it.
honestly i was afraid man… you and another gief are the only really good gief’s that i ever played before, that i got dominated by, so, that just goes back to experience… i just started taking this game serious as of two months ago. so, options selects and a few other things are brand new to me.
So, Iam practicing atleast 2 hours out of the day and at least 4 hours of playing good people and i work so, it’s hard to try and catch up with everyone but iam trying…iam trying my damn best to be the best gief
i have an idea, sorta like how the dustloop forums has their match ups set. Like for example have all the mahou shojou, itabashi or who ever videos vs a specific character. like you would have 10 or so different videos vs blanka and vs akuma so on and so on. I really think that would help the forum and even if, i have to do it myself i would, if everyone is too busy. Alot of people learn by just watching and it would look at more organized, instead of searching page my page for different videos just an idea.
