In ST, how the hell does Sim beat the shoto Hurricane Kick? I was playing the game with a friend of mine yesterday and he was whoring it out because I couldn’t come up with anything to beat it. If I had time, I could just jump and use a Forward drill kick to beat it, but if he was close I was basically stuck with just blocking until it was over and then blocking whatever he followed it up with. If he was just starting it I could sometimes beat it with standing Forward or Standing Roundhouse, although the Hurricane Kick would typically beat them. It even goes over his fireballs.
Also, we seriously need to get this guy to play more ST. We were basically even for the 50 matches we played (I think when we stopped playing he was beating me 25 - 24) and he was even able to pull of that crossup instant air Hurricane Kick BS with Ryu on my wakeup. He’s basically just lacking some setups and combos and I think he would bring “teh arpe” with the right training.
i heard he has no rhythm
try back + strong. that’s one of sim’s anti airs. also try jab yoga flame. if those don’t work (i’m sure they will) duck it then go for low forward > pummel throw.
i could teach him ryu. but why would i wanna do something like that?
also, sim has all the rhythm. have you seen that win dance of his? too awesome.

How about you use dhalsim’s excellent poke range and prevent him from getting close to you…?
I can’t game this weekend at all. Me and Nicole are going out on friday night and we are heading to kennywood on saturday, on sunday, I have to study study study, read read read, and prepare for some tests.

That requires way more skill than I have. I almost always guess wrong. If I do s. Foward or s. Roundhouse, he would usually either duck or do a fireball. If I did s. Strong or s. Fierce, he would jump in. :sad:

btw, if you’re playing sim. rush his ass down with those drill kicks. when he throws a fireball, jump that shit and quick land with a drill kick (prolly forward drill kick would be the best choice cause if he tries to DP it will prolly miss) and start rushing him down with roundhouse drill kicks and ground pokes (low forward mostly, just use that shit over and over lol) and keep pummel throwing him until he wants to stop playing.
just don’t get DP’d in the rushdown process.
i think sim can go under ryu’s fireballs with either of his crouching slidey kicks. not 100% on that tho, so try it out.

Yeah, you basically summed up when I did yesterday. At first I tried to just keep him the fuck away with Sim’s range. When I realized I didn’t have the skill for that, I whored out drill kicks and slides for the rushdown. Roundhouse Drill Kick > Throw is too good. Slide > Throw is too good. Slide > Throw in the corner is the round.
I kept trying to slide under the fireballs, but I could never manage it. I’m not sure if Sim can’t slide under those or if I just suck, though. Someone with skill needs to verify this.

After consulting TJ and Nate on their love of roller coasters, both replies have been shakey. TJ, who be the closest to the tough guy of our group, is afraid… And Nate, who is normally indifferent to most issues, was indifference. So this pushes the question, what is your opinion on roller coasters, more importantly, the best roller coasters, at cedar point. Pitt students can go there this coming sunday, the 30th for a mere 30 dollars, or something like that, and I need someone to go with. Otherwise, standing in line for an hour per ride by myself would make me want to walk home. Also, we could play gameboy all day, just think about how cool that would be and get back to me.
Rollercoasters are dope. However, I always work on Sundays and I need to notify them two weeks in advance to get off of my shift. Sorry, bro.
