Damn, I’m not even there yet. I have only seen the first season and read some of the manga. I need to step it up. After Wednesday I should be able to kick back for at least a little bit before finals, though, so I will watch the second season. So far episode 9 has rocked my socks for the level of sheer badass contained within.
Your comments in regard to Scooby Doo depend on the perspective taken. Scooby Doo likely thought that said villians WERE ghosts. Therefore, he called them pirate ghosts since ghost has a higher priority than being a pirate, assuming said reference is actually towards a ghost. I see pirates every day (at least in the digital sense), but ghosts are something special. Therefore, ghost should act as the noun. When they were revealed to be douchebags dressed up as pirates and ghosts, then they should have been called ghost pirates, since they were fronting. Actually they should have been called douchebags, but I can’t see that sort of thing flying on Scooby Doo.
BL s2 is better… its basically 3 arcs… the first and the last are hotel moscow heavy… the second is full of nuns
the first involves… well the first can go to hell
the second is awesome… full of crazy villians and a “hahha emo kids are faggots” joke
the third is alright… it lacks the crazy villians of the second one
overall the only thing from the last 3 seasons of anime ive really liked… nothing special plot wise but its much more adult oriented than the usual random action shows

so, if you have said arr matey pirate who is also a ghost you are really describing the pirate
on the other hand, a ghost of a barrel can act like a pirate. If this is the case its a pirate ghost.

Yeah… I actually started watching the first couple of episodes last night and they have actually been difficult to watch. It’s really fucked up and not all that heavy on the entertainment factor. I’m also not really seeing the Hotel Moscow-overdose to be a good thing. I would rather see Revy tearing fools up than Balalaika being bitch.

Yeah, that really wasn’t flying. Plus, the idea of a little girl weighing 50 lbs sporting a BAR and a boy messing up trained soldiers with an axe is tough to take, even for a series where maids are impervious to both bullets and car wrecks. Those kids both got owned up so hard at the end of the arc, though. I didn’t get to see any more than that, but hopefully I’ll get to start the next arc tonight.

I’ve heard from just about everyone I’ve discussed the matter with that the manga is better than the show hands down, no contest, game over, ggpo. Considering that manga scans are the suck and then some, though, I’ll have to deal with it.
