perhaps it has to do with the lack of poorly watched little children, but i cant say for sure
lol, i walk the mean streets of oakland at 4 am (those are called get ‘n’ go runs when i’m really fuckin thirsty at 4 am) and i come back unscathed. 
not the greatest area of all time. but it’s not bad either. you’ll be fine.

^some kids i go to school with, i’m not from the greatest area either(when i lived in buffalo, ny) my white friends parents wouldn’t let them come over until they got older because " they might get shot", anyways i’m sure i’ll be fine
