Cr.lk is +3 on block
St.mk is 6 startup
Command grab is 6 startup
So it’s frame trap
About laura fireball war, it’s not really about doing damage, its about push opponent, get in and build meter

cr.lk is -2 on block you jabroni
Yeah c.lk is probably the most useless normal in her arsenal. It’s a light attack that only combos into c.lp (which doesn’t actually combo into any special IIRC) and puts you at -2 on block? Does any other character have that, lol?
As for frame trapping, I think ticking with s.lk twice would more than likely probably push them out of range for the grab unless you did a cross-up/cross-under beforehand and even then it still might. I only tend to tick once before going for grab.
You can do cr.lk, cr.lk xx super, so I guess it has some kind of application in an empty jump setup. Those aren’t particularly common in this game though. Chainable in SF4 meant you could cancel it to any other light IIRC, but in this game it seems to mean that you can only cancel it into other chainable lights so that’s a bit butt.
Sorry he probably mean st.lk
I-ve been saying that 2lk is the most useless normal ever.
Glad more people agrees with me. Only plus side it can chain into itself or 2lp and it has low push back.
Even the chaining aspect isnt a true block strings. 3 frame normals will always trade.
I agree too, 2LK is pretty useless because Laura can’t really get anything out of it; can’t convert it into damage combo and it’s negative on block. More often than not, 2LP is just a better choice for more or less the same range. At closer ranges, 5LP or 5LK is a clear choice over 2LK. The only thing 2LK has going for it is that it’s a fast low so if we’re fishing for that last hit, it’s not a terrible choice but I can’t think of any other situation I would use it.
Agreed, only situation I could forsee it in would be an opponent on no chip out magic pixel health who is completely disrespecting her ability to hit low at point blank distance, and even then its not necessarily her best option, just AN option. Still, if she’s got only one button thats largely useless, I think thats still pretty good.
I do have some use for 2LK. Off the same reset setup that would get you perfectly meaty overhead, you can get meaty 2LK which links into 5LP.
I personally do st.lk st.mk, if the mk counterhits, i stand jab cancel to light elbow.
If it doesn’t, that’s cool, I’ll back up cr.hp into lp fireball.
Of course, this is all matchup specific, any fireball that isn’t actually hitting Chun is useless against chun.
