Quick question- are the Qanba colored button plugs still slated to arrive on July 18th?

I guess this is what I needed to hear from you…I know there is an akishop thread too, and I never wanted to make your business sound bad, because I’m sure you’re more anxious than anyone about getting this product in stock. I can’t stress enough to how well you guys take care of the community.

I’ll plan on waiting it out if I can, if I don’t I’ll only cancel my order to place an order for a Qanba with you anyways. A guy can never have too many sticks, right?

@Chad: As of now, they are. I’m supposed to pick up the shipment this Friday, pending any further developments from the shipping port that I’m getting them from. We will start shipping those pre-orders on Monday.

@Ointments: Thanks, and you certainly haven’t caused any friction. I truly am anxious to get the PS360+ out the door, because there are over 200 players still waiting to get them. There could be more if I didn’t stop allowing more preorders. The PS360 restock was my original goal - to get more of the same product. Since then, Akishop decided to return to the lab to make certain that the next wave of its product not only remedied some functional defects, but enhance the product. As Nerrage said, Akishop provided us with a wiring harness for those who wanted options. While I’m not sure if a converter cable will be provided given their cost, I will look into selling cables that offer the connectivity inherent in the PS360+ when it is released. It will depend on the final product.

As for Qanba, we’ll surely have a restock of the Q4RAFs as the last batch sold out promptly. Further, Qanba is releasing a translucent blue joystick similar to MadCatz’s ChunLi joystick. If that becomes an option to purchase, I’ll pick up a few of those as well.

Just to be clear:
Focus Attack is a great company and have nothing but great things to say about them and the same goes for Akihabarashop.
I’ve done business with both and have had great results and very nice customer service.

I love the pre-order process that was put in place for this item much like many other items you’ve sold.

Just voicing my grumpy opinion and thoughts about why I think focusing on the PC, 360, and PS3 should be the main focus with the ability to add in functionality for older consoles if wanted, and not the other way around.

Either way it won’t really matter.
I’m sure it’ll be a great product.

It just came as a surprise to a large group of us.

Cost isn’t actually too big of an issue when making these style of cables. Sure, the Startech one is really expensive, definitely, but considering there will be hundreds, if not thousands of these flying out the door. Looking at a monoprice 15 foot USB cable with compatible wire (28/28 gauge) http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=5138&seq=1&format=2 50+ only costs $1.44 per USB cable (at 15 feet to boot). A matching black boot for $.25 (http://www.cablesnmor.com/rj45-boot-black.aspx) and a 16 cent RJ45 plug (http://www.cablesnmor.com/rj45-plugs-bulk.aspx for 100) equals about $1.75 per 15 foot USB cable in amounts of 100 or more. If you think of hundreds at a time, the material costs aren’t actually too great. So, I wouldn’t think it would be seriously a burden if you were to make your own (aside from crimping hundred of connectors, but it’s pretty simple once you get the hang of it) and selling them for $5 a piece, and still have a pretty healthy profit margin.

Sshhh! You’re spoiling my plan!!

I shouldn’t have given you my bookmarks to my supply lists, huh?

Nerrage: thanks for the info. I’ll try to arrange a cost effective solution for cables once the PS360 interface is finalized. :). Also got your PM. Will respond in detail tonight after work.

To those who recently sent a cancellation request, I’ll attend to them this evening.

I was ranting a bit, but I’m not canceling, btw.

with the ps360(the old one) I was happy. per’s delays have bothered me. And I almost thought the ps360+ would never happen. this info, no matter how vague, at least gives hope. Jman is just relaying info. a messenger. Thanks for the info man.

as for the rj45 cables, If focusattack were to sell(were to sell, no clue if Jman will) adapter cables, and the feed-through, at a reasonable cost, I’d bite. a simple way of buying adapters at a low cost, it could be an easy fix. I’d be happy to own both a ps360 and a ps360+. now if akishop would make the dreams PCB. Need another DC stick…UNLESS…

The way it sounds its seems like it’ll be like the MC Cthutlu mutli-platform support but maybe a simpler way of implementing use w/ the different consoles. I also doubt that the delay is b/c of this new feature. Esp since past problems were with the PS3 & 360 dualicity (my own new word lol). I suspect that Per just wanted to give a little nugget into the + part of the PS360. Which would make sense as it would be the PS360 plus whatever other consoles you wish to use. This would make mutli-mods so much easier and cleaner and possibly make additional mods (i.e. LEDs) easier b/c you can just focus on the VCC/power for the lights, or the delay could be b/c he wants the PS360+ to have the capacity to do it all by itself which would be AWESOME. I for one will be buying all those pre-orders that were canceled!!! :china:
This is just my opinion which to me just seems like common sense.:blah:
Looking forward to all the new products you will be selling, including the PS360+!!!

Hello JmanDMC, I am considering to order a GT-Y octagon gate but
how long does it usually take to ship to california and where are you
guys shipping from?

thanks

Awesome, you guys have the ls-32-01s in stock, ill be buying one

I’m in the LA area and my two orders from them took no more than 3 business days. REALLY prompt shipping.

@Gigabyte: A good question and one I plan to update on our website:

We are actually based in Pennsylvania. Shipments usually take 3 days to arrive to California, as DJPDot mentioned. Now a few things on our shipping schedule:

My order fulfillment coordinator is hired to work Sunday-Thursday. This means that orders placed on Friday afternoon (EST) won’t ship until Monday morning. With that in mind, the best time to order is Sunday - Thursday because orders will likely ship either the same day, or the following day.

Yes - our current USA supplier is low on import stock. That’s why there are so few LS-32-01s available now. We’re moving to a new import supplier that has ready access to more Sanwa and Seimitsu parts in a few weeks.

Hi all,

A few things this weekend:

The restock shipment of Qanbas has arrived this weekend and will ship starting Monday. We will ship several at a time each day, as my packer has to do this along with daily orders. We have a few EVO based requests to ship out ASAP. If you are one of those who needs your joystick by the event, please let us know. We anticipate most going out this week.

We sold out of all 40 joysticks we offered for pre-order. Next time we will get 60 at least. We are also no longer offering them for pre-order. Once we have restock, you can pick them up.

We now have access to the Qanba Q4RAF plexiglass tops which allows you to swap the existing artwork for your own. Since there isn’t a custom artwork printing service that specifically covers the Q4RAF, I’m now looking into offering it. To do this, I need some help.

To anyone reading this, do you know what tools or machinery is required to print and cut artwork to shape? Does Kinkos or similar printing services offer something like this?

I’m just getting started on research and it may take some time to get things in place. However I feel that it’s worthwhile to pursue, as I’m also getting plexis for TE and Hori joysticks. I’d like to offer a service similar to Arts Hobbies; am sure that we can co-exist as companies that serve the fighting game community.

Any help is appreciated, and will be reimbursed. Thanks!

One more thing: we anticipate offering the Uila Series LEDs by end of July. We’re compiling info to help you install and take advantage of the PCBs. Furthermore, we plan to have the Sparky RGB LED controller available later in August. We’re definitely excited to work with Paradise Arcade and the Eugene E. designer of the Sparky.

More details soon. Thanks!

As far as I know Kinkos can’t cut out the button holes (At least the ones I’ve been to can’t). I work at a PostNet, which is like a Kinko’s… Kind of… And we DO have the machines to print and cut them, so I’m sure if you look around your area you might find a shop that can. Just start checking all the print/ship places in your area. And if you wait to do batch orders (even if it’s different art for each one, they can cut them all at once) you can probably get it done cheap enough for it to still be worth your money to offer on your store.

Just keep in mind that most people can just do that themselves, so it might be a hard sell. The appeal of Tek-Innovations is that he has all the machines, or at least a way to get them done VERY well. The paper and cuts on his are outstanding and better than anything I can do at my store.

Excited to hear the LEDs are coming soon though. I can’t wait.

Thanks for the advice Nogood56er. I’ll have to see if it’s worthwhile to bother with it. A customer asked me about it, so I thought it was worth looking into at least. Another player gave me names of the machines and paper he uses for it, so I’ll continue looking into whether owning them is a worthwhile option.

LEDs are actually sitting here. Paradise wants to release them soon. Once my second battery of tests are done, and we have some documentation available, we’ll put them up. With the announcement of the clear Sanwas (which we’ll do our best to get) we’ll likely make adjustments to the second batch of PCBs to fit them if it can’t be done manually.

Oh how I want those LEDs. I know we can’t preorder, but are you getting enough of them so I won’t have to worry about it? I need to order some buttons soon, so make it happen

Also, I got saw your post about looking into graphic designers for the new sticks. I consider myself pretty good in photoshop, and I’d love to be put on a list of people to do some work. PM me if you want some examples of my work.

Nogood56er: We have about 200 pcs of each type of LED for launch, and hype will have to build for them to sell out, so I think you’re safe.

I’ll add you to the list. Hopefully I can get one compiled.
