Keits did a great job w/ helping promote the event and commentating, he is a really cool dude & deserves his rank on SRK! The Minnesota & Wisconsin guys made the event fun & exciting like they always do. Big Marcus, Okame and other players from IL were great as well. Kurasa you are one of the funniest guys I know, loved the Vegas hooker story:-) Songo did a great job commentating. He was supposed to only be doing commentary for Third Strike but he hopped on for a few hours each day. Okame is the only guy I know that can commentate for 8 hours straight and not lose his voice. S Boom did an AMAZING job with all of the graphics, if we didn’t have you this event would not have been nearly as good. KBeast is good stuff, he couldn’t believe the weather. Justin and Marn thanks for being super personable at our event and being willing to hop in every picture that we asked you guys to be in.
Thank you all so much for showing your support! We figure there was around a 50% decrease in attendance due to the nasty weather.
With there being less people at the event, everybody got to know one another on a much more personal level! People that wanted to get a chance to talk to players such as Justin Wong & Marn could do so and have a nice conversation even.
Everybody was laughing with each other and getting along great.
Had an awesome time at Focus Fire. I said it at the tournament, but I think that in a few years, this tournament will be HUGE. The whole thing was just an awesome setup, ran super smoothly, and had great sponsorship. With the exact same setup I think that room could easily accommodate a tournament with 300+ players.
It was great to meet everyone. The whole experience was fantastic. A couple shoutouts:
Everyone who ran the stream or came on and helped me commentate. You have no idea how much easier it is to talk for 9 hours straight when you have someone else to talk to compared to just babbling by yourself. Songo, Eclips, Justin, Marn, you guys all rock.
My hairline, for taking an extreme backdash during the past few months, something I didn’t notice until I saw myself on stream.
Evan, for the whole tournament and for what he said to after the stream dropped offline.
