Zero (new to Marvel), Wesker in addition to the Dante and Deadpool.
There you go, we listed the most popular characters for this game, the newcomers. For a good reason, the vets all seem too similar to MvC2. One new move for each, mostly hypers.
That and the fact that Ironman looks so straight forward.
Although Ironman does look pretty beast, got some nice buffs, and he’s going on one of my 2 main teams.
I’ve played a lot of Iron Man in MvC3 and especially against some characters (Arthur for one) st.E can **wiff **quite often after a tri-jumped string. You have to shorten the amount of hits before hand.
Another thing is that his good assists (Unibeam and Repulsor Blast) have a fair bit of startup time to them. Also, if you want to use unibeam assist as a combo filler for another character so you can get another ground rep this often doesnt work, as unibeam hits 8 times and this game reduces hitstun the more hits you do (except in supers) so characters just come out of the combo.
He’s a speedy damage beast though, got to be some cons to using him.
I think iron mans assists are up there like doom where all 3 are useful.
Smart bombs OTG
Rupulsar blast is large and obstructive
Unibeam extends combos as well as helps movement
It’s not the fastest, but the characters with the faster trijumps are actually at a disadvantage imo. It means that they can only really attack with j.A off thier tri jumps, where as Ironman can use j.B or j.C easily. The other person with a great tri jump imo is Viper.
Also Iron man can do the following:
-Double jump cancel his air attacks
-Cancel air attacks to fly
-Cancel a neutral j.C into either up+j.C or down+j.C
So I think that he might be able to get some sick combos going on. Will go into the lab more when I manage to kick all these mangey friends of mine off my xbox and get some training mode happening.
Uuuhh I don’t know bout you but I have the game actually…proper wavedashing still requires crouch.
BTW, IM isn’t bad, might be sort of linear though. It’s not really worth doing fly combos with him unless you’re hitting an assist character, cuz doing too many hits in an air series will make his exchange miss. Oh yea, you can’t call assists in fly mode if you’re too high (lol? dumb ass game)
His lows seem to gatling really well into his launcher, well at least better than his standing moves. This includes in the corners as well.
2l>2m>e is possible.
5m>e possible.
5l>e possible.
5h>e possible.
Hope that helps. His launcher range is still shitty. I didn’t see it change unless they give him en entirely new launcher from the ground up to be honest.
Angled Proton Cannon>KFC>Proton Cannon is possible as well. Did it once, it depends on the spacing and if the cannon hits them on the first cannon shot. Looks very difficult to pull off in a real match in my opinion.
Iron Man’s all set. He’s an excellent character with a bit of a high learning curve compared to his MvC2 self. I have to wonder if Doom’s Missiles will work well of a fly/unfly combo, seeing as it can give a bit more to add to the combo counter.
I say IM is better than Magneto at rushing. He has a better tri-jump attack (Magneto technically doesn’t even have one he tri-dashes too fast to be able to attack lol), more damage, and more health. He can also be gay and rain down smart bombs all day.
Magneto has the fancy ROM looking loop, a really mashable cr. light, and more flash n general I guess, but what’s the difference when we can just touch him once and take 80% off him with one bar
