I’d pick Groovy Uppercut there, since you already have a ‘pressure-projectile’ assist.
Not giving ‘Shocking Pink’ a second thought until we know more about it.

watching all the vids up to this point really makes me feel like Iron Man is lacking in the moves department. I was really hoping for another move, anything, to give him a little variety. I just got done watching an ironman vs dante vid and those two characters against one another really makes ironmans lack of moves painfully apparent.
I really like him but I thinks keits may be right. he’s Linear. sure he can tri jump or whatever but will it really be enough?
I don’t think his tri-dash will be enough. His launcher also lacks range so it will be hard to hit-confirm because you can’t tack on as many lights and mediums like Chun and Ryu can. I predict a lot of tri-dashes into random launchers when the game comes out. A lot of pre-release gameplay shows Ironman whiffing his launcher too. Who knows though, maybe his jumping HK is still a launcher that you can use with his tri-dash. Or maybe he has a ridiculous fly combo or some kind of loop combo like X-23 and Ammy to compensate
Iron-man has so much technology at his disposal but capcom didnt take advantage of it. They could of use some laser blasters from his gauntlet, homing missile, instead of using the big blue shield he uses to block, he could of use an EMP shield to block instead just to make him look a bit more flashier.
I just hope they beefed up his launcher, its barely had any range and when you whiff that move, you are left open for a quite awhile.
im upset they changed his shoulder missile to a downward angle…seriously what good does that do…does it OTG after knockdown? so i could do launch>magic>E>cr missile>proton? not only would that be easier than trying to DP out a smart bomb, but it would give the downward angle missile some real use. otherwise its a normal i wont mess with

he has a sick fast tridash and if he can keep resetting you with a good assist and comboing into that mashable, beautiful proton cannon, hell be pringles
I don’t see how the DP motion will make Smart Bomb OTG’s hard…I mean, I rarely see Deadpool’s miss Katana-Rama OTG’s.

I was invited by the distributor in my country to try this game out with 3 other guys. I spent a good 3 hours trying stuff out with Arthur and Ironman mostly.
I spent most of my time with Ironman, and he was easily my favorite character to play with. He was a jack of all trades, with a fair decent amount of health, and what seemed like decent options at any part of the screen. While his “Proton Beam” has seen fair improvement in speed. “Smart bomb” is definitely nowhere near as good as in MVC2. The range is really bad now, barely half screen.
You can no longer cancel his air normals into dash, and fly/unfly combos don’t work as there is recovery on his flight mode de/activation. His triangle dash is sooooo good now. I felt like they had taken Mag and Ironman from MVC2 and mashed them together. His maneuverability is AWESOME! And his high/low/left/right mixup while in close is rad. I was backing him up with arthur alot, and I would easily get 2 try dash mixups if the opponent was blocking Arthur’s dagger assist. Also had mixed results with ghetto resets after air combo by landing after the exchange bounce, calling Arthur then doing smart bombs to reset them into the dagger assist so that i could dash over and tri-jump them again. Timing will take a little practice I guess.
His “Proton Beam” assist worked really well, and held the opponent in place much longer than I thought it would. Worked well with keep away characters to push the opponent back, and tack on some extra chip.
His Proton Cannon worked really well in DHC combos.
Ironman really felt like a character with no glaring weakness, but no particularly huge strength.
is there fast fly combos with iron man? like launch>magic>airdash>magic>fly>magic>knockdown>smart bombs>proton?
So is the ‘Iron Patriot’ alt in Iron Man fans?
nope.
Nah tried that. His fly is too slow.
Not sure about that exact combo, but I’ve seen Kurasa pull off a couple Jump cancels into a flight cancel combo.
