Of particular note in regards to our get-togethers, it looks like TvC is getting new characters and tweaks and stuff. I’m stoked to finally be able to buy it.

I think I’ll pick up mvc2 as well. I hear it is a fun, fair, and balanced game with lots of replay value.

and seriously, you dont expect kof 12 to be shitty? Are you familiar with the kof series? Is failing 17 times out of 19 games or so not a large enough sample size?
finally, if kyle doesnt beat any plans for bb out of people, i will. PS - everyone buy ps3 sticks so i can play bb on a pad… otherwise my plans to beat this game out of people is going to be hard.

BB seems to be all about 3-4 characters which is kinda boring plus i’ve never really like GG.
KoF12 might be ok but honestly has it ever been popular in the us? ever?
MvC maybe but probably not.
TvC does anyone outside of the people who have imported it care about this game? Ryu and Karas seem godly. My morgan\yatterman team seems like weaksauce =(

You’d be alright with Yatterman, he has the most damaging infinite in the game, learn it, you’ll be fine. Ryu is broke WITHOUT an infinite in that game…that’s the scary part.

how is cross edge? I’ve heard mixed reviews from people with similar tastes as me (japanese niche game faggots). I have enough games on my plate to last a long time if i ever decide to actually play them.
I would get marvel if i had American sticks, but i spend at least 5 dollars playing marvel every time i go to the movies
Probably skipping Marvel since I don’t feel like learning such an old game from scratch, especially considering the mastery of the people I would be playing against.
Also probably skipping KOF XII and BB, unless a lot of you guys pick up one of them, due to the volume of games I’m interested in.
TvC has me interested. Gonna wait and see.
Cross Edge is a B game so far. I’ll admit I haven’t really played any gust games and Cross Edge seems to pull a lot of characters from gust games. The item\skills system is really foreign but, I think I’m starting to get it. I’ve probably spend as much time messing with items as I have actually fighting.
Plot wise it’s pretty standard right now. Everyone just barely knows who they are and some people don’t remember people from their own universe. They seem to be setting up a final boss pretty early but you only see his underlings.
The one thing that has me worried it could get super annoying is the overhead map “search” feature which just means you’ll have to revisit every world to uncover new shit. If I remember i’ll bring it over some time. Valkyria Chronicles is a far better game so I’d dump the 50+ hrs into that one 1st.
