Pretty good storyline, but I can’t see how long they can stretch the premise. Then again, Lost is still around. Some thoughts as I watched the show:
Random kangaroo is funny.
Why the hell did the main character walk through a huge pool of water when there’s a downed electric pole nearby?
Harold is being pessimistic about his “death.” It could happen, it could not. They could possibly talk to terminally ill patients who they know will die within a month and see what they saw.
I wonder how many other people were walking around.
Perhaps the blackouts were aliens/people from the future sending a message by showing the future.
I’m sure those futures won’t happen. At least, not in the exact way they saw the future. They know when and what is coming so they’d all be wary when the time comes.
yeah that’s what i was thinking. i came to that conclusion because he wasn’t in the car when the main character got out, but on a second watch, he wasn’t wearing a seat belt so he could have gotten thrown out. also at the end
end
Spoiler
we see one guy walking around a baseball park but the chick says “why are **they **awake?”
is this a mistake? either way, an intriguing intro.
god like. just finished watching. a few notes i took. the show is obviously filled with tons of symbolism that i will google and maybe break down myself, but im sure the fansites are already out of control with theories, so maybe ill cut down my work and go copy and paste from there. lol

bird crashed into window. so even the animals lost consciousness.
april 30th london lady. she said april 30th instead of the 29th for their meeting.
eh, doesnt matter. i just went to a wiki page for flash forward, and the book was written for this show ten years ago. i spoiled everything for myself. over it now. next. lol! its really rather basic too.
I read the book a while ago to prepare for a creative writing seminar directed by the original author.
Nice guy, interesting concepts, very smart as well, but, respectfully, not a great storyteller. I ended up learning a lot more about the publishing biz than creative writing.
I’m not saying don’t watch it - just prepare to be disappointed via obviousness.
Just watched it, so glad that they are airing TV shows in the UK immediately after the US airs them, this saves me alot of harddisk space!
I was worried that this show was going to be over hyped but for a pilot, it was it did a good job of grabbing my attention. Some people on the radio this morning were saying that they couldn’t connect with the characters it wasn’t like LOST (which was more character driven). Personally I think its a good thing, as soon as LOST stopped giving so much attention to the drama between characters and focused on the plot it became so much more interesting.
SEXY BABY SITTER FTW! :wgrin:
I did the same for Knowing, almost made the same mistake wikiing Avatar, but I’ve learn’t from my mistake.
In the end, she said “they” cause she didn’t know if it was a dude or chick walking? Looks like a dude to me but they is a safer term I guess. Cool show, didn’t know it’d be this good. Keep me updated on the symbolism.
i agree with someone else s theory here that Harold is obviously bsing with his black out story
as soon as the blackout ended, he was pretty far from Joseph Fiennes who seemed to be in quite a car wreck. No way he flew out that far, unless its the first plot hole of the series …which could be an achievement in itself, seeing as its the first episode
she caused the blackout. they made her read a phone book inside a cave. the resulting echos of her raspy voice layered with itself to make a concussive force knocking out all humans.
