Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2; possible VS mode

For those who didn’t play the first game just think Dynasty Warriors but with Fist of the North Star characters instead. Oh, lots of gore, heads exploding, and rending of garments. It was actually pretty fun.

What is interesting about Ken’s Rage 2 is that the game is made by Koei the same company that makes DOA. On their facebook page the company is taking questions and in response to someone’s question about if there was going to be a versus mode or not the answer (through google translate I am assuming) was something to the effect of: "I think, it will be very nice, if “Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2” will have a high quality Versus-Mode like in “Dead or Alive 5”

Most people here have seen the ridiculous videos of the Fist of the North Star game that ArcSys made where people are getting killed in 1 hit or being juggled forever. I am hoping that the VS mode in this game is actually good. LOL, FOTNS at EVO!!

It’ll probably be crap but I grew up watching/reading Fist of the North Star so I’ll probably end up getting it no matter what. Kenshiro is a badass.

I just really want arc system works to make a sequel to hokuto no ken and that was by far the best fist of the northstar game ive ever played. Raoh is the shit and fist of the northstar is my favorite anime of all time.

Why Kenshiro had to punch someone more than once to kill them is beyond me. It’s just…not consistent with the source material.

I very much wanted to like it. It was a cool concept for a game, but the controls felt too floaty and unresponsive. The game just felt sloppy.

Played the Ken’s Rage 2 Japanese demo, it mops the floor with the first one and then some,

Dynasty Warriors and Ken’s Rage 2 shouldn’t even be said in the same sentence!!!

Ken’s Rage 2 is its own brilliant and brutal beatem up brawler. :slight_smile:

Not sure if players can hurt each other in versus, but it seems to have a domination style objective where players have to capture the different locations (not sure if in order or any order), by defeating the require amount of a.i. enemies in that zone.
