First wave of third party Xbox One padhack options

Hows the pad grounded?

I always connect the ground and 5v from one pcb to the other pcb’s USB contacts. I have done the same with 4 other dual mods and they had never had thiS problem.

I’m currently trying to figure out if theres a way to disable Turbo altogether.

The extra ground or KGnd (labeled on the PCB) is intentional. Its how the tournament locked worked. Start, select, home and Turbo had its own ground that gets disconnected if you flip the tournament lock.
All the tournament lock is is that the switch is turned “off” and you break the circuit making those buttons inoperable.
You can bypass the tournament lock by soldering a small jumper wire to the 2 grounds.

I now just ordered #4.
I got the first from amazon for $19, did my first stick, all seems good. Now I want to try a dual mod on my TE1 from 360. I won one on ebay for 16, Then the kids liked it was green and small. Fine, order another for 21. The other kid likes it and wants it.
OK, ordered #4, one of those tree designed ones, so I have a feeling one of the greens will be released and I can get to work.
I have the hex inverters but didnt use on the first one yet since 6 button stick.
Should be a fun weekend.

Thanks for the info. That’s good to know.

At this point I’m back to square one, can’t find a solution to the problem. Do you know how to disable turbo altogether? I don’t need it, never use it obviously but have never really known how to disable it.

Hahahaha welcome to the club.

And like usual, thats about $100 invested in reusing my 360 sticks. 1 has been done 2-3 weeks, and used a total of 30 minutes…
I gotta get back into using them.
Oh and got a rocker switch and 2 big slider dpdt at radioshack. Turns out 50% off everything since out of business, but had no time to look around for anything else. no loose wire for sale, etc.

The Menu contact point is actually ground… it needs to be on the other side.

Thanks. I ordered a horipad to retest the triggers.

unless you’re running power and ground to the ps3 pcb it will act that way. I always cut the trace and only use ground/home wires.

just a little update…
installed the diodes as directed and everything works as I wanted. Ps360+ detects properly and the triggers work as well.
Thanks everyone.

I am running ground and power between PCBs, the same way I always have.

The MKX pad acts a bit weird I guess.

I just installed it in a quad-mod with a FC4 and everything is working fine. But I noticed something a bit strange.

I have a high/low (on/off) rocker switch installed so I can can go from last gen to current gen. It works great for both the MKX pad and the FC4. But I noticed that when I’m playing on PS4 if I switch the switch ON (ps3) and the back off again (ps4) my right direction becomes active and stuck. It goes away when I hit the HOME/GUIDE button.

It also does the same if I’m using it on PS3 and do it the other way around. It doesn’t do it on the Xbox consoles for some reason.

It’s not really a big deal because it goes away once I hit Home but it bugs me knowing that it does that.

does anyone have any idea why this might be?

Just got an MKX fight pad and noticed that these weren’t mentioned anywhere, so here are initial my impressions:

*Tested in Win7
*Does not like USB 3.0 ports.
-For some reason, the drivers won’t install if it’s plugged into a USB 3.0 port. Move it to 2.0 and it installs the drivers without issue.
*360 mode:
-Works in Joy.CPL without issue,
-displays as ‘Controller (MKX Fight Pad for xbox 360)’
*Xbox One mode
-Works in Joy.CPL without issue
-TRIGGER BUTTONS ARE RECOGNIZED
Displays as ‘Controller (XBOX one for Windows)’
*Can be switched between the two modes on the fly.

Question. Are these trigger buttons Digital? If so, this is using Microsoft’s driver, which could blow the digital input theory out of the water (unless I’m missing something)

Maybe someone can help me out a bit. I made the mistake of not testing the pad before starting my hack so… yeah… I guess that could be the issue.

I am modding my TE2 with a MKX pad. Had it all wired up and the MKX side didn’t work. After some testing, I ended up wiring the USB cable to the pad directly to see where my issue was and it was the pad. What happens is if my USB ground is connected, it doesn’t do anything. If my ground is disconnected, it just blinks. The blinking part makes sense to me as the TE2 does the same. The not working at all part is weird. What could cause it? Bridged solder point somewhere?

For what system is each pcb? The xbox one TE2 is not common ground so if you are using that you need to use the crossbone to facilitate a dual mod with a common ground pcb. If the MKX pad is a ps4 pad, then you need to add diodes to all the signals if you are going to use it in a dual mod.

I rather think the Xbox One sticks are just made non-standard compared to the rest of the Xbox One.
Its reported as they refuse to work with alot of games, they would not work with most non-fighters and even the new DOA game.
I don’t know for sure I don’t own a Xbox One and I don’t have any plans of getting one in the conceivable future.

So I consider it MS badly done ass fuggery and their own corporate greed, and to the horror of KI fans and Xbox defenders the Xbone is poorly suited for fighters.

Ah, my mistake not clarifying. TE2 is PS3/4, MKX pad is Xbox One.

I can confirm this is true. Which is why I always recommend a padhack option to those around me

Just a heads up, saw this on slickdeals.
XB1 mini controllers for $20 apparently, free shipping. not sure about tax.
