I do use it, and while I’m not 100% effective (probably not even 60%) with it, you still give up precious space for meager damage and avoiding a block string. I guess it depends on the character you are used to playing against. I get stuck playing a lot of Cammy and Sakura (like, that’s all the locals play, along with Akuma, Boxer, Rufus, and Ryu…) and other characters with easy forward momentum.

sakura is easy to get out, focus back dash her normals. when the tatsu hits you, you’ll be full screen away. if it’s an ex tatsu in the corner, it’s free punish. she needs to work really hard to get in on vega as her jump in and air tatsus loses to neutral hk. have a thread where you can post your videos for analysis, so if you want help on your game play, upload some matches. seems to me you are lacking in the anti air department and also can’t deal with pressure.

Feels almost impossible to FA backdash a good Yun player.

for dive kick character in general, focus tech should be minimalised. hell, teching in general should be minimalised. if i know they will try to dive again because they “read” that i will focus tech back dash, i just nail them with a ST.
