I mean to get into this game, most pros probably used a “basic character” first before going into newer intermediate characters, and of course you guys of this community have been in this kind of situation too, so I kind of need some opinion

Based on your previous posts, I’m assuming you mean SFxT.
Ryu, Rolento, Rufus, Kazuya, Cammy, Guile, Hugo, Zangief, King, Ken, and maybe Chun Li.
There’s no such thing as a ‘beginner character,’ all characters have some hard stuff that’s useful. These characters just all have stuff that’s useful for beginners.
I don’t even know what game you’re referring to OP…but the answer is probably Ryu. It’s always Ryu.

Ryu. Balrog, Chun Li, Guile, Rose, Zangief, Sagat, Cammy, and Adon would all be fine.
Adon?! He’s not even close to being the most used player in the game. I rarely see an Adon.
Ken. Niggas love Ken…I love Ken

Like everyone mentioned ryu ken etc mainly because they have the tools a player would need to learn the basics of the game. As for me I tend to start things off with a character I find cool. Later down the line I learn the said character’s strenghts & weaknesses etc So really you can go about the game anyway you’d like. You can start off with the basic archetype character with the basic tools or start with a character you just think is cool.

Everyone starts off with Ken ckuz…well this niggas hand goes on fire .
I started playing SF1 in the arcades waaaaay back when. I used Ryu, my brother picked Ken. We’ve been that way ever since if we teamed up on dramatic mode or whatever.
I used Evil Ryu first with SF4AE though, he’s what made the game a definite purchase.
Back in SFII I used Guile, Chun, Blanka and Honda.
It then took me nearly 20 years to realise how much I prefer Charge characters over Command characters.
So my two pence: choose whoever you like. 
I picked viper immediately in sf4 vanilla. And stuck with her for a very long time. (then guy came along). I see people talkin about older games too so I guess I did use ryu in street fighter alpha 3. (till I decided that it was time to play guy. I liked usin him. But I sucked with him. But after I got better with ryu I was like… I’m goin for guy!.. Guys the man!!!)
Heh, I even used ryu in 3rd strike. Then ugh… For a while I used almost everybody… Then ibuki took over!
As a matter of fact! I even used ryu in street fighter 2. But back then in could only do. Over by goin buck wild with the controller and getting blisters… Didn’t stop me though!!!
Ryu is always a great place to start. If you sit down and play him properly, he single handedly teaches you basic FG fundamentals such as spacing. Then when you have that, pick anyone. Every character helps.
Pick a weird character like Gen! You’ll get lots of support and secrets from dedicated character specialists, and chances are you might have more fun than you would losing to people who have seen your tactics 100 billion times.
