3. Yeah, its hard, given the circumstances, but they can pull it off. Just claim she was 20 in the Cap movie, they claimed “almost” 70 years, and u have no definitive year when Cap froze, but it ain’t hard to allow him to see her at an old age home, and have one dance before she dies, and passes on some great message to Cap. Seriously, if this doesn’t happen in Avengers (or at the VERY least, Captain America 2: Americaner), I will be disappoint.

t4.hey said it absorbs vibrations, and that it was 3 times lighter than steel and stronger…that was it. The actual Cap shield is Vibranium laced with Adamantium (although in Ultimate, which all of the movies seem to be based off of, its pure adamantium). I ain’t a fucking scholar of Marvel metals, but vibranium liquifies other metals according to the history of it, including adamantium. In fact, the dude who created adamantium (or learned how to forge with it) was trying to make vibranium, and considered adamantium to be a failure in comparison.

5/ But then it gets weird cuz of shit like Adamantium being unable to be destroyed by physical force, or the fact there are two types of vibranium (true vibranium and anti-metal I think), and some characters have fucked with both types:

6.Adamantium: Hulk’s snapped it in anger, Thor slagged Wolverine, Doctor Strange transmuted it into paper and ripped it apart, and Hank Pym melted Ultron WITH VIBRANIUM

Vibranium tends to get destroyed only by God’s and other powerful beings (Molecule Man destroyed pretty much every major hero tool).

Wakanda has a fucking mountain of it. But yeah, Adamantium is just the most unbreakable metal, until Vibranium melts it. Dunno if Vibranium is sharper or anything, it just melts all other metals (ie Ultron)

well true, and even Thor had the Odinforce when he melted Wolverine into goo…but yeah Hank Pym fucked Ultrons world up (probably slapped his bitch around in celebration, right after). Yet again, it gets weird due to the different grades of adamantium/vibranium. Hell, Colossus ripped out one of Wolverines adamantium claws at one time, and stabbed somebody with it (I think it was actually Wolverine he stabbed with it lol). But first grade Adamantium has only been broken by one dude (the demon S’ym), and I think that got retconned or something. I guess it’s all according to who writes it (kinda like how Wolverine’s healing power kinda fluctuates, and sometimes he can pretty much survive retarded things)

Nick Fury being black has a lot to do with Marvel wanting to use Sam Jackson’s image for there Ultimate universe Nick Fury.

I know this is petty but those blue imprints on the gloves are killing me. And they couldn’t make that zipper on the chest red? Otherwise, definitely looks more modern (materials and whatnot) compared to 1940’s Cap. Also I’m hyped for anything that happens in regards to a resolution w/ Peggy Carter, Sharon Carter, Bucky becoming Winter Soldier. Didn’t the actor get a 3-part deal in his contract? NO HOMO, but jesus christ on a bike, how yoked was Chris Evans in this movie? When I was a kid I accepted the fact that hollywood actors will never ever have Superhero physiques on the big screen but Cap and Thor were goddamn specimens. It was cute when Sharon Carter couldn’t help herself that she had to touch his pecs.

Sharon Carter wasn’t a stunner but damn does she grow on you as you watch more of her on screen.

I thought it was Peggy Charter, Sharon’s aunt that Cap fell in love with in WWII. Cuz Cap in the comics taps BOTH asses.

I don’t think Captain America needed to be awe-inducing in the first place. Captain America always had that old school feel to it even when reading the comic and especially with this movie. It keeps it in the realm of realism and he was always someone who you could identify with.

This is wrong, yeah kinda predictible that the dude with a James Bond avatar is the one to point that out, but its still wrong, dunno about Nick Fury but James Bond is a single character created by Ian Fleming and portrayed by a buttload of actors through 50 years of cinematic history.

I disagree. Captain America, at the least the film that I watched, was about the further thing from “heightened reality”. Batman Begins is a good example of a movie that’s grounded in reality. Captain America: The First Avenger is not. I was expecting a bit more from it, but it played it safe the whole way, and setup The Avengers nicely. I got the sense that this was The First Avenger’s primary goal, then being a good standalone film was secondary.

What more did you expect out of it? I don’t think its a bad thing for a movie to play it safe. Sometimes its better to keep things simple instead of going crazy with it.
