At least 10 blazes burn more than 35,000 acres, stretching from north of Santa Barbara to the border. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declares a state of emergency in seven So.Calif. counties.
Lots of evacuations.
Damn, brings back 2003-
Heres a picture I took, around the area I live in SD
I drove back from Vegas yesterday.
There was a fire on the 15 fwy. North bound was completely shut down.
I drove past several hundreds of parked cars on the fwy.
Lots of people had their doors open and just walking around.
One family was playing soccer on the grassy center divider area.
Yeah this shit is getting intense, I just got done working a graveyard shift at Lestats and a lot of firemen and police officers were coming in to order coffee because most of them are only taking one 3 hour nap a day! They say it’s getting pretty bad and that there is a good chance it will hit San Diego. If anyone in the North/South Park, City Heights or Normal Heights needs a place to stay if they get evacuated, let me know, I’m on Adams Ave.
i live at 4s ranch. right now i’m at my cousin’s house in mira mesa. still… it’s hard to watch the news, the fact that your house might be shown engulfed in flames especially since a lot of the news is concentraded in our area.
stay safe man.
edit: 250,000 people have been reported to evacuate. apparently the fire is headed towards the 4s ranch area…
