This tournament showed me that I have a long ways to go. I do pretty well online, but I got pummeled by Tuboware and KC’s Notorious. I really need to work on my Juri, especially against Blanka.
It was a fun event though. It was my first tournament, and it was cool to see what the local community is like.
I’ve been lurking that thread for a while, haha. I’m a total scrub, but I might stop by sometime over the next couple weeks. I’ll probably get trampled for a while, but I guess that’s just how you learn.

Sam - For sending me to losers in SSF4 again. I think you’ve sent me to losers/knocked me out of SSF4 the last 3 tournaments or something. I’ve got a surprise for you next time I run into you in a tournament.
Focra - For knocking me out of SSF4 altogether. Man, when we play casuals I feel like I can at least compete with you, but you really step up during tourney play. GS. Also, shoutouts to you for being a traitor and forming RICKY RASSLIN’. Hah j/k that shit was funny.
17th place - For having so many KC players tie for 17th in SSF4 lulz
AntKC - For getting team 25c in at the last minute. Sorry we couldn’t represent heh.
Deron - For not playing BBCS.
PJ - For mauling me in the first round of BBCS.
Choga - Damn, this place is the SHIT. Soooo good, soju was amazing, food was amazing, HITE was amazing, stories about KC were amazing.
BobSmack: I keep saying this, but thanks again for all the help with brackets. Whenever you came over to help me find a player, I was really thankful. No one’s ever done that before, so I was really surprised. I really admire the effort you put into making the tournament run smoother. Superb work, man.
KC Crew: Shoutouts to all you guys for proving once again why the KC gaming community is awesome.

Blank: Dude. I was actually worried to play against your V Akiha, mostly because another guy who uses the same character crushed me at EVO. I studied that match up a lot to make up for that. GGs though, we’ll definitely have to play again in the future too.

Axiom - Damn close games, that’s for sure. I felt victory in my bones, then it came to a screeching halt after the fucking not-de-synced pause. No fun. Either way, I think that our match was really tense, and both of us played on point. This was probably one of the most intense matches I’ve experienced, I’m looking forward to playing you in a tournament setting again, as well as casuals. Great shit post tournament as well. Figured I’d test Fuerte v Chun just to see how it played out.
Snipermav - I feel so bad for booting you out of singles and in teams. I was actually sort of iffy about playing you in singles, if only because you were doing really well against me when we played beforehand. Didn’t know if you were gonna pick Boxer or Sim. You’re getting better all of the time, keep it up.
Tuboware - AAAGH forgot what it was like to play Blanka. Good times in both singles and teams, though, always a fun match. Too bad we didn’t get some casuals in post-Choga, but you were sleeping on the floor. Hopefully KC/STL will see more of you and Marcus in the future? Thanks for flying Russia’s Skies.

Props to Bobsmack for such a well organized tourney. I’ve been to many a tourney and have never been that pleased over how smoothly it was run. If this is a prelude of what to expect from FR, I’ll definitely consider going despite not being the least bit interested at first.
