Hey guys just wanted to see who was still playing this game. I ask this because of the September 21st release of the Chains of Promathia Expansion. More importantly, the European release of the game introducing a whole nother flood of players (much like how the American release coincided with the Zilart Expansion) will probably take place very soon afterwards. Mystic Tour has it being a simultaneous release but I remember the American release taking place a few months after the Zilart release in Japan around the same time of year.
As some of you guys may remember, soon after the American release last November they opened up the then test server, Fairy, as a regular server and then started allowing applications for character immigrations to that server. I had hoped that they would do it again in March for the American Playstation release but that hasn’t happened. Somehow, I feel though that they will be opening up servers and allowing immigration again once they do the Promathia and European release. If they do open up the current test server, Atomos or one of the other ones, who’s game?

Easier to form parties since there will probably be a greater concentration of frustrated NA players like us wanting to get away from the JP dominated servers already established from day one. (JP are less likely to make the move since they already have long term relations with the community).

Finally able to get everyone in the Texas area on the same server. A handful of us Houstonians are on Carbuncle. I remember that some of you guys were on Alexander and Fairy or something.

No more leeching from uber JPs. Shouldn’t be as much of a factor since JPs have tended to be less friendly to us since they seem to lable us as perpetual N00bs, and we’re catching up on rank and level in at least one or two jobs.

Linkshells and friends made on current servers may not all want to make the move to the new server. I know there are some pretty well established Linkshells that will probably resist moving as well as those friends who have ties or who are JP and have become used to the servers they play on.
I believe it all comes down to organization and willingness of play. I know that some of us here have seriously considered quitting until we started doing more of the Zilart and regular Missions (aka the fun stuff). Lots of these like the Ark Angel fights require lots of organization between a good number of close knit people. It is possible that we could form this amonst ourselves and others who decide to make the jump. Before we decide on that though… what is everyone’s status? For myself, I’ve still been able to play every now and then but it’s definately not as much as I used to play. I found that I tend to play at odd hours late at night or around noonish (if I’m not doing something at work =b). About the only regular hours I play are evenings of Friday and Saturday. K hope to hear from some of you guys.
