is story mode the only way to level up your character?
you can use Quick Battle too, very useful on you bonus day as you can fight a lot of guys much quicker.
And the Duel Coliseum once you unlock that. Really I wouldn’t recommend taking on the higher-level enemies on your first run through a story mode unless you’re forced to, too much pain.

Have magic pot and simply run away and let him hit you with bravery attacks until he get 9999 bravery.
Then use magic pot and kill him in one hit for ridiculous amounts of XP.
how do i know whats a bravery attack and whats not?
although he mainly has counters, but are counters the ONLY thing he has?
Bravery attacks are done with Circle. ExDeath has a few attacking, non counter moves too.
Have the date set on a Special Day, go against a level 105 ExDeath; Maximum. Just spam HP attacks (Square) and he’s dead.
They’ve improved the AI in the US version so as far as i know that does not work anymore.
It still works. No matter how much you improve the AIs, ExDeath AIs are always shit. (=
Weird a friend on IRC was telling me earlier he used to do it on JAP but could not do it on the US version.

What character are you using? Every character has atleast one attack to spam the ExDeath AI.

Easiest way to tell is that All HP attacks will display the name at the top of the screen.
Bravery attacks will not.
