Final Fantasy Dissidia thread. Sequel announced!

No, AdHoc Party is region free.

Not like it matters for me anymore lol

If you have two wireless dongles you can ‘technically’ have two connections for X-Link Kai by plugging both in and using one for your PSP to hijack and the other to keep your internet connection alive. It’s not 100% reliable, but I managed to connect that way before.

I’m sorry but I don’t follow:sweat:

I was expecting this to be kind of a mindless fanwank but this is actually pretty rad.

I’ve only played the demo, but terra seams beastly. She can knock back from a distance, and I think her air fireball knocks back on counter hit. I’m not even sure if this game has counter hits or not, but sometimes it knocks back and sometimes it doesn’t.

Cecil seems good too, but the dragon knight version seemed a lot better than the paladin, but then again I played for like 20 minutes.

Found some tourney vids on youtube. Game has infinites and shit, but according to that interview all that might be fixed?

Edit: Nvm that ch stuff, the computer just parries that shit.

Sephiroth looks beastly due to the fact that he is Sephiroth :stuck_out_tongue:

A wireless dongle is a piece you plug into your computer’s USB. If you have two of them, you effectively have two connections. The PSP can use one and the other can keep X-Link connected online.

Tornado spam.

That’s Terra’s big trick that makes her kill a lot of stuff, from my understanding. If that doesn’t work on its own, just try yelling “koko desuka” everytime you do it. That should be sufficient.

I’ll see if I can try it out? Does anyone know how Squall and Sephiroth are?

Squall was alright in JP Dissidia. He was pretty much a dedicated in-your-face character, and one of the only ones with any “real” combos at all. He had a few ranged attacks, but only one of them was really useful. It was pretty damn useful though, since it dragged the opponent in for a free attack chain. Sephiroth could absolutely rape your Brave and knock you back pretty far if he gets a hit, since most of his higher-level attacks are huge multi-hitters. He was open if he whiffed an attack though.

Pro tip: EX mode activation is DANGEROUS. Not only does it act like a burst, it also has a lot of autoguard frames on startup, meaning that you can easily blow through attacks like they’re not shit, and use a HP attack into a Limit Break almost for free.

Pro tip 2: Some characters have a special ability during EX mode that is triggered with R+Square. Sephiroth’s is his Heartless Angel move which some of you may recognise, that drains your Brave to 1. I know he’s not in the demo but Bartz has Goblin Punch. There are other characters that have EX mode only attacks but their names escape me right now.

This game sounds so badass. I’m officially a fanboy for this game :stuck_out_tongue:

heard about this game from a friend. looks interesting might pick a copy up later.

Can’t wait. 24 days, till win.

Infinites are still in the us version.

Picked this up, been playing, dont really have any idea what I am doing really  it is fun though, I am using Terra right now and I just unlocked Kefka so I will be using him soon, gotta read up on it though since as I said I dont know what I am doing.

I dont really consider this game a fighting game

its technically balanced because EVERY ones broken in some way, the best tactic is to abuse the calendar system to make everyday your special day by switching the date on your psp and grind on tree to get to level 100, then just max all your skills

then equip a bunch of critical up skills like riposte, learn to time your blocks then do your brave attack into hp attack chain like Omni-slash V.5

this game is more of a real fighter than SMASH
holla

if you soft-ban the infinites, the game plays pretty well.

either way, it’s fun as hell.

Damn I forgot about this game. I’ll pick it up probably next week. I just need people to play it on.

lol, the infinites are still in. I guess Cloud/Bartz/Zidane will still wreck people then.
