They could become his heralds for the same corrupt reasons Terrax did: i.e. to get power and control.

Hoping it’s Galactus, but it looks like Dormammu is the front runner right now. Really hope that’s not the case, though.
Ok…Dormammu WILL be the final boss. I have gathered some information to prove this.

If u look at the top of this official MVC3 poster:
http://www.eventhubs.com/images/2010/jun/10/marvel-vs-capcom-3-e3-poster/ , you can clearly see Dormammu is at the top. Not only is he at the top, but he also has the largest silhouette. Obviously, he has a very important role in the game. -
Remember that large votex of fire in the end of the second trailer(with deadpool and dante)? That is Dormammu trying to enter their dimension.
