Ok, so iamthatiam means all of Gouken’s EX move, and obviously does not count projectiles.
Which is kinda weird, cause all of Gouken’s EX moves have armor break already except Air Tatsu. And if they try focus Air Tatsu they will surely get hit twice since the succession hits come out very fast on that move.
I’d really like the palms to have projectile invincibility throughout the move. And LP palm should have invincibility from frame 1.
I don’t agree with LP palm but palms do need to have projectile invincibility from the start of full invincibility now until the completion of active frames. Hit vulnerability does need to come back during active frames though just like it is now, just not projectile vulnerability.

Dive kick does not have armor break, G Flip Sweep does not have armor break, parry loses to armor break, and hados are easily focused through.
If EX Versions had armor break he could be more offensive.
The EX part is the flip itself. Dive kick, parry, and sweep are really a separate move. Like for example, a reversal Jesus kick (rufus) do breaks armor, but the follows up do not.
I would agree with the sweep part being armor break, but that is about it. Dive kick itself definitely should not have armor break, it would be unreasonable. Pretty much all armor breaking move need one of the following weakness.
Long start up
Unsafe on block
No follows up, can’t start a combo
Short active frame ( 2 - 4 frames)
If Dive kick break armor it wouldn’t fit any of the above. Which -every other armor breaking move- in the entire game would have at least one if not more of one of those weakness. It would be unbalanced.
Beside, grabs do beat armor, I think that is enough for armor breaking option.
IF they improve it to grab crouchers (impossible when playing online), then I agree.
I don’t know, croucher seem pretty easy to grabs to me. There are at least 3 frames for you to do so even on very low crouches like Blanka.
Just to point out, i’m pretty sure a Reversal DF Sweep breaks armour.
Maybe because it IS part of the DF (ie: you do nothing it does sweep). A parry, Dive Kick, Grab could be considered cancelling the DF into another move and thus no armour break.
But you may have been aware of that, just pointing it out.
DUDE! Who’s asking anything to fit what anyone currently has. And how is that unbalanced?? It still loses to Ultras and dps and a host of other attacks, as well as some one jumping back to make Flip useless period.
Every good character on the game has a bullshit set up… Gouken does not have one, its simple. He needs a bullshit set up (srk, command grab, armor breaks) to be high tier… if he doesn’t get either of then he will just be the piece of shit character we have now. REGARDLESS of what minor changes that’s been suggested. He will still be the same and lose to grabs and rush down.
Oh I forgot Gouken already S Tier, he has enough 50/50 situations lol

Jump back is possibly the worst way o dfend against demon flip. If Gouken parries your jump back attack you get ex tatsu. If you jump back late, you get shinsho. Only guy can get away with jump back attack on goukens flip.

Or anyone with a 2 hit air attack… And Gouken has to be close enough to make that work consistently. Empty jump back gives the opponent more than enough time to avoid it, and at point blank he gets hit out of it before he can even start it.
If you can parry the attack you can punish it. Nothing is saving you if you get hit in the upward part of your jump.
Right… and the parry is only good close to mid range. If they jump back any other time is nothing Gouken can do. Or he can parry and then do nothing and open his ass up when he hits the ground.
The only thing Gouken has that’s reliable is safe jumping after a knock down everything else is a toss up.
Here’s a interesting thought. If specials on reversal will always break armor… what if reversal kongo became immune to armor breakers? Since reversal armor break kongo is pretty much useless…
